You all act like CH has huge zones, it doesn't. The aggro can be burdensome but its not riddiculous, and taking the time to fight thru makes smaller zones feel if anything bigger. That's a plus in my opinion.

Making a valid criticism asking for a slight tweak is ONE thing, but the entire tone of this thread should honestly shame you.

Scandal? Ugh...just seriously...ugh.

Okay tea, this is the thing. That tweak for aggro ranges is the reason behind all the damn posts of the charm being overpowered. I don't see a complain about the aggro ranges, I see it being mentioned to explain what's happened.

If you were so aware of this to the point where it's stupid to mention it, why havn't we heard of it before? I figured out the aggro ranges were increased a while back but nobody listened and the "Camo rings are OP" threads kept coming. This thread explains what I have found and the reason to the problem. Sure, it wasn't a noce way to be braught up but there is no whining here.

I have a camo charm, and I dont use it on my mage and rogue, so I see the difference. But I don't complain. I simply explain what the problem behind the whining is.

Aw I understand yer point of contention here. I thought the issue was the camo charm, yer issue is a new tweak of the range.

Carry on, I will edit a bit of my vitriol in my previous post. Not too much, because sheesh "scandal" is so emo it turns my stomach.

Also Blaze, I am not talking about yer post, or the thread you were quoted on, I am talking about the title and the tone of this thread.

Another lame attempt to bring back OP camos....

I went through the whole SV area leveling with my Rogue pre-updae without a camo. I don't see this as a coverup or conspiracy.

You want all mobs handed to you on a silver platter? Taking aggro as a Rogue is part of the price you pay as a DPS class.

What makes people think it's overpowered is the aggro range tweak which makes the game harder without it.

Disclaimer: This is purely a reply to explain something. I am not whining, crying, or balling in any way.

Well range are change it costantly previous owning a few camos ou could see how much change every time from at begining not getting touch at all on the lava golem corridors and ghost corridor to get aggro if you get a bit too close.

Another example is getting aggro at safe spots when. This spots used to no to get aggro and get time to regen.

I'll take it. I dissagree but I entertain the thoughts.

I'm not going to defend my tone or title, I think it is warranted like I've explained before. If my tone is anything; it is excited.

Yes this is exactly the issue here.

Not only was the range tweaked, but the camo charm was removed at the same time. I know it wasn't an intentional slap in the face to those that didn't buy the charm, but it sure was a slap in the face.

Blaze and I are saying this is the reason for all the angry camo charm posts (Thousands).

Seriously though, no one needs a camo charm until they get to Otherworld. The aggro range changing you were referring to was post-Update 3 Stonevale that was later tweaked back to pre-Update 3 Stonevale, so I don't really see your big issue "slap in the face" as you call it.

In Otherworld, they already reduced Eye aggro radius a few patches later. The other mobs aggro range remained the same. Camo charm is only essential crossing the bridge to Chained King and getting past the Blackstones because they swarm. Other places, you don't deal with swarming mobs. Even the path to Aggragoth was nerfed. There used to be 7-8 level 140 wyverns there with Spit Fire. Now there's only 3 level 137-139 golems.

Ya OTM has made some fixes to the aggro ranges. It is hard to know now how it compares to pre-update when the charms were available.

It comes down to an issue of principle. What do you do when you don't really like the way the game is going and want to change it? (In this case aggro ranges) Do you just discontinue the offending item (camo charm) and not let future generations buy it but the older players can keep theirs? This is what happened.

What this has been shown to do is strengthen a 2 class system. The elite and the non-elite. The elite get to play a different game than the non-elite.

Sure some items can stay in like this but for a game-changing thing like a camo charm, I think a different approach should have been taken.

Options I would have had on the table in hindsight before the update was released:

1. Lets remove from the game all the camo charms and give each player that has one 10% more than the original value for the inconvienience.
2. Lets just keep the camo charms in the shop
3. Lets give players a warning that we are both going to increase the aggro range and discontinue the camo charms before the update
4.Lets tweak the camo charms and give players that have one a 50% refund for the inconvienience or let them return to support for their full purchase price plus 10% for the inconvienence.

ect.
