Ok so after reading the content page of what the Samhain Event has to offer, am i the only one that doesnt see a difference? Yes theres going to be new charms and armour sets, but whats the difference between this event and the summer one? All i can see happening is event bosses that drop gear that the best clans on the server will time and get time after time. And what else? im guessing 1 extra quest that will give us a bad item worth nothing? I have found no fun in these events. Please use this post to share ideas you have about how we can makes these events great for everyone. please do not steer the post off topic, i want a response from a OTM member as well.

I agree in honest opinion i didnt like the summer event either... It had nothing fun in it atleast for me. :p
And as for permanent content i dont want another permanent quest thats not worth doing :p

I agree. Also kudos for standing up and articulating this issue clearly. The only really worthwhile items in the summer event have been hoarded by the top clans, another event that does just that will make the separation even wider between the clans. It is not the right way to go.

I can understand where you are coming from.

After I joined the game, I suggested to add holiday events... Fortunately holloween was right around the corner.
The event came and I was lvl 40 at the time... I was so annoyed at the fact that I couldn't kill any of the bosses. The fire Titan was level 70 or 80 ... The bone giant was level 70.. I never got a chance to kill one..
I couldn't even kill the pumpleroot king.. Which was level 40
I also didn't realize I could have bought a broom for 10k... I thought they where 250k..
I was like... What the hell... I suggest something that ruins my fun.. Butttt in the end I collected tons and tons of witch hats and pumpkin helms... Which fetch a decent price these days.

I will be keeping my rares for a long time until they are worth rediculous amounts of gold.

I also think that pumpleroot hearts should be one of the most valuable items in the game.
( they where used to aquire pumpkin wands )

Oh and infinity, did you get greater/radiant earthstone or was this event, as well, meant for the players that started playing before you?

I notice all of you are complaining how top clans hoard everything... Maby you guys should get off the forums and do something about that.

Im in a top clan on my server and the events are still boring... :p

I get the part about seriously OP items that I can't get....stomp feet, pout, then decide maybe I should shut up and level lol. But it does bug me a bit...
Yes, I will always regret not having started playing two months earlier and getting a broom....and being so nooby in the winter event that I GAVE AWAY magus and frostbelly drops lolololol. *facepalm*

I like the seasonal events.
There is a lot of completely optional content there -- or, at least, has been in previous events. If you don't like collecting hats and sunstones, then don't. Grind away
I'm glad the game changes with the seasons, I enjoy the silly charms and hats and such, I like collecting, enjoy the bits of mythology thrown in.

Basic one was 25k, which was still a lot back then. Thats why you see so few on all servers.

Collecting the items really bugs me, reason why i dont like it because they put a lot of time into that instead of focus on some other aspects.
I can totally agree with the charms though. Love having a wardrobe to be whatever i want. On morrigan i can easily tell out of the greater players, who is who, purely from the apearrance, CH has been doing a great job with vanity and i love how i can turn into anything.
The events are not for everyone, true.
Guess they help me a lot cause while everyone is out an collecting, i get to catch up to them level wise!

Well kind it they are a doing a better job adding content for smaller players

I was lvl 50 on last hollowen event and never able to kill aby boss back them that event gave motivation to lvl up and be a majot player on my server to create alts and heavily invest on platinum,

But the simplicity and magic of the event has water down month after month from simple collecting 5 items to turn in for quest to collecting 2000 of kind is just waste of time the " dont do it if you dont want response is bad"

I will like to see easy simple events quest, and this items to mean something not just extra useless inventory.

The simplicity and charisma of the hollowen event of last year and the bosses of the hollidays event make this game unique and make you wonder what else they can do. The summer/birthday event was a bit of let down. If each event the rarest drop become useless inventory is let down my hopes is this one to be unique requirements for new content .
