I would love top event boss placed in arena with yellow name
To kill him you have to hold the gate while mates kill him tho alot wont like idea :-/
Its would be so cool competion!!

Or same boss but just good xp and gold , not all like competion and its will be so easy to kill the other group if no one holding gate

Admin should just make inter-world competitions such as top 10 warriors, mages, etc, maybe even for certain level brackets. Then if one class seems to win 1 on 1 duels a LOT more often at the same level you will see what class needs balance in PVP. Eventually PVP WILL be a big part of this game I think, esp when bosses get put into the arena.
There are many builds and combinations of gear.

True but gear in this game is pretty linear. There's not much selection for variation. If you are a warrior going up against an energy shield mage, I won't go into detail but there is a pretty optimal build.

Even if there was more varied gear the PVP tournament will reflect a large enough sample size to draw a pretty accurate conclusion as to which classes are OP or not. OTM will also be able to look at stats to formulate subdata, such as maybe tank warriors win against caster mages 7/10 times while DPS leaning warriors will win only 2/10 times. This data will be very useful to players and the devs, but I guess we would need a pretty large sample size.

Lol I was just coming to post this...
Ok.. I own the character " pvp " which is a bad ass for its level... I'm lvl 68 with earthstone and 470 damage.. Needless to say.. I can pretty much own a lvl 90 and below... Buttttt I can't kill a same level Mage... Actually.. I can't even damage one...
The get a perfection on me everytime... Why? Well the energy shield makes them invincible... You can't kill them..
My lvl 67 friend was bragging about he beat a lvl 126 rogue ... Lol... I'm gonna make a Mage before they get nerfed.. This is going to be fun being invincible.

Yes, I hope they get nerfed in pvp as well.

I'm a mage and it just isn't fun owning everyone.
Im sure it's only a matter of time. I am excited to see this game in 5 or so years when everything is worked out.

What has been forgotten here is that mages are a one-time burst class in pvp. Yeah, we can hit for over 2500 if we can get both spells cast.
On the other hand, both lures and shards are interruptible, and with the cooldown of shards, you're pretty much stuck for 5 sec just prying your shield will hold. A rogue, while fragile, can evade the spells, resist some of their damage, and reply with devastating melee AND skills. Now, i agree, they may have to survive the initial burst first. But it's possible, and possibly more than you'd think if you have enough of those new abilities.

I'd say, it's pretty balanced.
Mages one-hit, but then if one spell misses (or gets interrupted) they're dead meat.
Rogues are fragile but with their evasion and then their speedy attacks they can interrupt spellcasting and keep it that way.
Warriors do lower damage but can survive the initial burst with a decent amount of health left.
Rangers have rapid shot to interrupt, and quick heal.
Druids have some spells that deal dameg, but more importantly heals.

To me, while it seems druids and rogues might be the weakest, their weakness doesn't mean they'll automatically lose every fight. Just they will have a harder time when they can't manage to get tin the combat. But then they're unstoppable (Heck, i lost more than once against a lower level druid because of the heals ; never lost to a lower rogue but that's mainly because i don't come across many of them).
Anyway, since pvp and pve use the same skills, modifying a class in one will affect how it plays the other. Mages are already the weakest class in pve, we'd like to get our chance to shine somewhere, tyvm.

Wait do you double shield? Whenever I double shielded no other class even stood a chance (besides mabye a bolas ranger)
No, i don't have time to cast it again when i pvp.
Either because in the arena i don't know when someone Will attack me, or in duel i get killed before the cooldown finishes.
Although my built isn't really a defensive one, i have only a dozen points in shield because i mainly do pve.

Also, i'm not a melee mage, that's probably why i get owned. Melee mages (especially with earthstone) like you do kick ass, but others can't even survive 10 seconds without the shield.
