Re: No faith in OTM after this last event

Hi there, thanks for all the feedback. Overall it looks like this is going to be the last major event we are going to run - the event has taken a couple of man years of work in total to create and release, and since it has proven very unpopular, in future we will put the effort into updating the live game and stop running these big events.
best thing. You have ever said, I'm not a big fan of events but will do them because there is nothing to do. Daily event quests sucks it way too long for people who do t have alot of playing time and want to experience everything, how ever u got the AREANA & PIE quests perfect because they don't take too long and the little reward helps I'd suggest more AREANA type quest for events too

obviously i have not gotten too much into the event yet, so can't really evaluate it too much. But so far, i am enjoying it. Not sure why people are quite so angry about it - it mixes things up a bit.

That being said, i do think those who have the Broom of Doom (and i don't have one btw), should be able to upgrade the stats to something slightly better or flashier than the 1m broom. I understand how working hard for something that you think will be unique and then finding out it is outdated would be quite demoralizing.

I hope you won't completely give up on special events - i think they are fun. However, I do agree that maybe giving them a rest for a bit so that you can flesh out more of the regular game (more quest lines, the castle, etc.) is a good idea. Maybe only have one or 2 events a year with a fair amount of space in between.

Overall, i am still enjoying the game. The new boss in the northern penn is really really hard, but that is probably good since lots of people seem to complain how easy things are. It will be fun trying to figure out a good strategy to kill him easily without spending a ton of idols as we have done with the other bosses and aggy.

Thanks for all the fun

No the event is great for the level 150 players with pockets deeper than ole man moneybags. Other than that you crushed all hope of me ever being able to succeed. For instance you introduced an item into the game that cost 1 million gold. You might not think its a big deal, but you popped the cherry. Now you can introduce items at a very high price because a precedent has been set. You do this knowing damn good and well that the average player has nowhere near that amount. I am dissappointed because you have widened the gap between players not closed it.

No! I have loved all the events, and love this one too, please continue with the events, even if they are smaller
My favourite event so far was the summer one which had a couple basic quests and bosses to kill

Please continue to do events even if they are smaller, they give us something new to do.

The only thing that should be tweaked about the event is letting people see all the brooms regardless of their gold
pigman, with the fury of the pigs and the mind of a man

Sad if it's true, I enjoy all these events. Have to say more happy people in game than unhappy people on forums!

Look I have no love for the cry babies i started at the first halloween patch and didnt have enough gold to purchase anything but did that stop me from playing hell no i stuck with it and know i am one of those 150 players getting my turn at it. Grow up you noobs there will be next year so play lvl and enjoy the content at your lvl stop trying to be apart of content that is 100 lvls above you. I have full props to OTM is the boss hard hell yeah but so was aggy will we figure him out for sure. My only gripe of all the event content is that it all eventually leaves. The summer dragons were awesome now they are on the spawn every thousand days schedule and i see the armour quest is 21 days so i will probably be short a few pieces. I dont mind when the extras leave like brooms and charms but the bosses are what make this game fun i the kind that will use 50 idols to try and figure out how i can solo them or group with anyone who needs but to see these awesome bosses come and go sucks. I personally would love to see the amour quest stay forever i like the new armour and wish we could get all old event bosses to spawn in the arena they don't have to drop their original event content but fighting new bosses for me is 90% of the fun in the new events and each boss provides their own challenges so goes along way in helping new players develop their players skills and bossing strategies. Any way thats my rant gj OTM on the event and all you crying noobs to play Pokemon or some other low input and thought processes game.

Well, I don''t know that many people pretty much who has 1mil.... Most money really was like 5mil so that's like dang.......too many items though, no big events admin, you worked hard, now just expansive the game and add new lands with new stories. Don't listen to the people who complained about you not doing one. If it takes you ll year dont do it.

I think you were trying too hard to make each event bigger and better than the last one. You were headed to a no-win situation. The 2011 Halloween Event was awesome. The items were not overpowering (darkflame did NOT replace warden and was mostly for fashion/novelty). The skeleton charms were great and useful (too bad only a few got them). I don't think anyone would've complained if they came back this year to be honest. Most were looking forward for the xp and firecloak charms to make a re-appearance.

There was no need to make long-winded quests. I think people liked the Potion quests. They were able to get plat items for free, and you can only get 3 per character which again isn't overpowering. I surely like it better than farming 60 bat fangs, 60 bat eyes, 60 bat wings and 40 witches brews just to get a fancy novelty weapon.

Honestly, if you just made it similar in scope as last year's Halloween event, I think it will have gotten a better reception. Events are meant to be enjoyed casually especially since it is for a limited time, no one is pressured into doing stuff every day. No farming, no grinding, no camping, no competing. Sometimes less is more.

While I fully support you just focusing on the live game and permanent content, small events would surely still be welcomed. Just don't go overboard and try to make it "epic" next time.
