We had 2 teams of 8 players and it was overkill. Not much idols have been used. I would guessed ard 1-3 per person esp in the main team. Once things settle down, theres practically no idol use after. Can be finetuned further for sure.

We found that 3 tanks works best.
One on the boss and two split taking 2/3 skeletons each.
That way the secondary tank doesn't get a huge hit or the skeletons all at once.

Was to late yesterday to wait the patch, this morning I logged on and directly tanked this skeleton boss and aggy in a row. Honestly not so hard as the leystone of noth pen is not far.

You just need two good groups and a very good tank with at least 4 hight level druids.

1 - Just jeal the tank who use idols, all the rest run back.

2 - tank get aggro and take the guy next to the tree, you win seconds of running back.

Then you dice the drop between two groups

Put high recquirement for the drops like 140 min for warriors, rogues, 130 mages, rangers and 100 druids. Then dice them according to classes thats it.

What is bull, is the drops, honestly way to underpowered compared to radiant and the difficulty of this boss, who is in a way harder than aggy, as i still need to use idols. Indeed the ****** shield bash me back lol !

King Dreadbone is harder than Aggragoth. But at least OTM has added a new way of fighting bosses which now truly require more strategy than the usual "boss hits tank, healers heal the tank, dps kills boss" way we all have been doing for the last 1.5 years.

Kudos to OTM for adding a truly epic boss. He is level 140 mob so that he targetted for level 130-150 players, but I think he is actually a level 160-170 in terms of difficulty.

Actually we started it not long after killing aggra when the server has restarted. But it sux that the server crashed when we have made 40% done.

After the crash i had to sleep for tomorrow's work and study. I felt sorry that there were lots of injuries when i was not there.

But the fight finally was quite smooth for there were lots of druids there lol

The strategy to kill this boss is similar as aggra. The only difference is needing more heal and some ability of decent tank.

Guess the minimun heal for the boss is 6k+800, and 6800 for a pure tank (Im a hybrid with 350str atm)

5-6k for aggra, not need to seperate the heal hehe


btw, any idea of its "freeze" spell evasion type? warding or willpower? my willpower still has 200 to go ... sux

Get your Reflex Evasion up :D

Seems there r mainly two spells from those new bosses to "freeze" u. One is shield bash and the other is Chilly Grasp. as remembered the bone boss' spell is chilly grasp. So reflex will work lol

btw, though 1540 reflex, have still get around 80% time freezed. :cry:

Bosses should be able to be done with out having to use plat there is no Strategy that keeps your druids out of the aoe and they way they got the game everyone knows high end druids dont have tons of hp to be getting spammed by aoes adds not rly the issue there's things u can do to get less or take less dmg from them :) but that aoe rly strong and his 10s sheild bash is nice wish i had a sheild bash that had 10s cd
we've killed him a few times on Epona, and a strategy that worked for us was to have 2 tanks, one for adds and one for the boss, as usual. What I did to keep druids alive was to keep embrace and breath on the druids at all times, while running back and forth between the main tank and the adds tank to alternate heals as well as healing the dps group when i saw that they needed it. my group heal at the time was around 600, touch around 1200 and embrace around 180, and there are many druids that are far better than i am. so have a druid with a high group heal in the group with druids and the main tank to keep druids healed (550-600 should be more than enough) and to switch back and forth between main and adds tank as well as healing pretty much everyone in the area. there should be at least one druid who is capable of doing this in every major boss fight. i always seem to be the druid running in circles to keep everyone healed as much as possible, and it's quite fun actually.

On Epona we had several groups of very high lvl player and we ended giving up. It hits so hard that we can't kill it in time and our healers end up getting distracted by his skeleton guards because they respawn way too fast. His dmg needs to be lowered or there needs to be less skeletons surrounding him or something. What is the point of spending so much time on him if nobody can kill him to witness the hard work you put into his drops ( which we don't even know about yet guessing its a pumpkin sword /weapon ). When we get as many high lvl players as we did and give up he is probably over powered. This is just what we have witnessed on Epona.
