As a penalty of resurrecting from death, you get a resurrection sickness (debuff) that halves your stats for 5 minutes. Whether you use and idol or the leystone.
Then afterwards, i thought to make SoL more attractive and useful, only time you do not get res sickness is when a Druid casts Spring of Life on you.

#125 minutes seems long for this game, most bosses don't take that long. It would be interesting if certain strong bosses had like a magical field where so far of a distance and closer to it your not able to use idols. Can you imagine if Aggra had this? Rez spell would still work.

Now if we're talking about doing a dungeon for 5 HOURS just to get to the boss you want to fight, 5 min penalty is nothing.

#14How about a reverse Super Combo elixer? I think that it would work great, because you wouldn't lose any progress, but everything would be much harder. Probably one minute in the reduced state would be good.

#15Its a great idea, however everyone would be constantly re-loging to avoid death and and avoid the penalty.
Unfortunately this would place a lot of strain on OTMS servers, increasing lag/server response time for all.

#17I hate this suggestion... It makes people buy plat. An when people feel forced to do this they will quit. I mean lose exp wtf?? Can u please tell me wht bosses are taken down without Druids?? Then look at the lvls of the people taking down the bosses was they 150 fighting stonefang?? If so then your argument is stupid. Try take down any significant Boss without Druids like aggra pyrus ignus dreadbone and even chained king... And tell me u can do without Druid and just run back.. Such a bad idea imo all this does is exclude none play buyers from the game completely. This game doesn't need this system I feel this post is bias because Druids are possible along with tanks the most important to a boss group and all the OP is trying to do is make both classes even more important. Then please check his sig...

when you die a status effect is added that has no effect and lasts e.g. 2 minutes
if you die again while this is active, the status effect increases in power and reduces max health and energy slightly
if you die again while the status effect is active, the power is increased
if the effect times out after 2 minutes it disappears regardless of the power it was set to
so basically it will be a very minor death penalty but means there will be a very slight meaning to dying
it will go through beta testing so we can test it out then and see if it's a good addition to the game

coz we out dps quite often and then when we die we get a penalty !? sorry to all who like this thing but that would be totally lame
