Re: In game Death penalty *admin response, give feedback

Whichever, if any, of these ideas are added to game the spring of life spell should absolutely be exempt from the penalty. SoL should also revive people with a percentage of their total health. I'm in favor of seeing that percentage raise with acquired levels (lvl 1 - 3% lvl 2 - 6%, ..., lvl 10 - 30%, ..., lvl 30 - 90%)
Druids have been asking dor this since day one of the spell. I refuse to use it. It is a waste of skill points. But it presents a conflict of interest for the developers if done well. If done well, it will cut down on idols used (duh right) if that happens, less plat is purchased. Additionally, if the spell is made more effective, such that people will use less idols, everyone wil, demand druids use the spell to save them money/plat. For these reasons, I have wished the spell removed and replaced with something else. How about Call of the Wild, a group strength or haste spell. Or how about replace SoL with a transformation line. At low levels the druid can transform a target player into a wolf or a rat, and certain skill bonuses with that and at higher levels maybe a tree or bat.

Definitely agree that Spring of Life needs to be reworked. Its just not a very good spell, and not worth the points you need to put into it for it to be effective.

If you're talking about penalties for dying, there was a MMO I played ages ago that handled this in a little different way. If you died (including pvp), you randomly dropped about 5 of your items on the ground (in bag items, gold, equipped items). Anyone in the area could pick up those items laying on the ground, including monsters. So while you are frantically trying to run back to your body, anyone could loot your corpse. If a monster picked up your items, you would have to try and track that monster down and kill it to get your stuff back. If another player picked up your items, you would probably not ever get them back. Imagine that death penalty being used in this game, and losing your radiant bp or aggragoth drop!

Wow,

Why would anyone suggest that dieing your toon looses exp, and you Druids who are feeling un used join Gwyidon and clan Solitaire (save me always healing) my Druid is the toon I use the most.
I personally think it would be unfair to implement any kind of death penalty to this already awesome game it would exclude anyone who can't buy platinum from the game, reducing the amount of players I would however agree with a revamped spring of life skill the skill currently sucks it would reduce the money spent on Rez idols yes but it would only allow for the same if not more money to be spent on other plat items.
There is no other skill on any other class that is as useless as spring of life currently is to a Druid.
I would also like to see new Druid spells like white mages in many other games maybe a haste or life skill and different variances of heal to add more depth to the class. I also agree there is already a penalty to death u miss out on drops an exp gurantee if this goes forward a lot of players quit and find other games where they aren't penalised for not spending heaps of money.
Peace out :)

Death penalties, idk..... seems like we dont need em cuz its soo easy to die in this game compared to others (unless youre a tank) Maybe a pretty strong penalty like half stats for 2-3 minutes, but boost defensive skills such as Bark, eshield and reflexs.
hatoyo- lvl 130 Rogue- Rhiannon
hat0y0- lvl 83 Druid- Rhiannon
Bluejay- lvl 68 warrior- Rhiannon
Banshee- lvl 51 ranger- Rhiannon
(name withheld)- lvl 46 Mage- Top-Secret

[quote="Samkhan8000"]not everyone are tanks that can survive 'god knows how many blows'[quote]

Its true that other less highly armored classes would be put at a disadvantage here. I know of a couple support oriented mages and druids that have about 1k hp that get killed in one shot. Some might say that they should restat though, so idk. I'm not in favor of this, but if it were put into effect I guess I'd deal with it.

All the people who are against death penalty. Please consider the new target lock system that is supposed to be in the update (last I heard anyway)

If two rangers are able to bolas the boss over and over and use Rez idols to continue locking it until their clan shows up while your clan already has enough to start the fight but won't start because the target is locked to your rival clan.

In our current system you revive instantly (unless on cool down which is a joke at 10 seconds) and when you do revive you are as strong as your character is without buffs. This is what will allow those two rangers to perpetually lock a target while waitin for their clan to show up. Rez idols should still be useful but people should be discouraged from spamming them in order to take down a boss or survive an encounter.

I still favor a very small exp loss
The debuffing effects sound interesting
I'm against any item loss

All should be exempt from penalization when revived via spring of life. Spring of life shoul revive Characters of all levels(lvl 1 Druid can revive lvl 150) but revive with more life/energy as skill points are invested. Cool down timer should also reduce with skill.

Yes, this is a double edged sword for OTM but I believe the lack of idol use would have people buying other items in place of the idols instead of Not spending any money. People would still buy idols too, Druids wouldn't be able to Rez everyone, especially with cool down timer.

I don't understand the logic behind this post. How would a death penalty be unfair to non plat purchaser ? When dead you do not miss out on drops only xp , and as of now it requires plat to raise because no Druid with any sense is using spring of life.
