i guess u didnt read allCriminal, you proved marcus's point perfectly, arguing from the perspective of the majority. You said the only time you help a lower level is when you get called to a boss. That is not because you want to help, it is because you have a chance at getting the drop and a decent sum of money. You only have one example of helping a lower level with something besides a boss, and that is because you want to show off. "most of the ppl care when low lvls ask"? I would say that almost none do. The less it benefits them, the less of a chance they'll help. You can call a high level for stonelord and they'll come running. Tell them that stonefang is up and you are ignored. You also seem to hate random people that send group, trade, or friend requests. Well thats obvious, based on what you have said you exclusively ask for help and almost never give help. The more low levels on your friend list the more help you have to give, and that just seems so unfair doesnt it! To quote a high level, "cbf (cant be f'ed) helping, im busy atm"
thats mostly when i help cuz thats the help that ppl ask, like jhim and what he said, hes really high lvl so ppl ask him to help with bosses mostly, but for example ik that he didnt help with just that, he helped me a lil to build my ranger, and also ppl that r asking me help with quests
defectors, the dreadful\vile\seeking eyes, the new bosses, some questions but mostly i dont get any questions, if i'll get any and i'll know the answer so yes i'll help
sometimes im getting help from ppl lvls 80+ (thats a lil lower than me), Evilclown is helping me a lot with questions, sometimes im helping with my druid, sometimes ppl asking me to join for boss but im helping without group
dont say im only helping with bosses, mostly lower lvls ask help for bosses, i'll come if they need me and im not busy, so if its fellfire do u think i need suns and moons? im passing my drops to DragonSpirit anyway, the new bosses in this event, even low lvls asking me help on the lirs bosses when im passing by
like i want to get help when i need i'll also help, i cant get help if im not helping at all, sometimes im not helping if the guy who wants help is annoying, like i said when they say "u look so cool" or something and one sec after u say ty they ask for free stuff

). Others take more of a support position as coaches and mentors. None of these roles are right or wrong they are just different ways of enjoying a game. Many of us do care about others but as has already been pointed out we can't help everyone all of the time (jobs, family, friends and sleep limit our play time).

Of course, they made me give up the sun disc that I needed, despite the many times in the past when I allowed them to keep drops from rockbelly and other bosses to equip their alts with armor I dont even have yet. People are too selfish and even when they help others it is often because they expect help in return later. I have often been whispered "come heal me. I helped your alt kill this defector, remember?" Oiuy, your point is valid but I think both are often appropriate. You can give someone knowledge or physical items, but they can be equally effective at helping the "noobs". I often converse with high levels and learn what stats and skills are most useful and in what combination, then pass them down to the low levels (some of whom have passed me long ago). This describes Oiuy's "teaching to fish", but I have found that usually the person comes back for more help. On the other hand, I have almost always let in the lower levels in boss groups who need the kill and passed them drops I dont need, essentially "giving them fish". In the grand scheme, I think they are equally valuable to the average low level, but neither prevents them from coming back for more. In this game you cannot give anything that'll keep someone perfectly satisfied and independent. Teach them how to make gold, give advice, give drops, etc...there is no limit to how much someone wants. Even for high levels: they all want to be higher level than those around them, join a better clan, get better armor, have full lux items, and repeat for their alts. The chain does not even end there; most high levels who have everything they could possible want turn to collecting and buy any rare item being sold.
