Need advice on this druid

#1
Hi all, I'm Illusionkev from epona.

I'm lv 77 druid and heres my stats

Str 5

Dex 11

Foc 260

Vit 135

My skills are storm touch 16/20, lightning 16/20, embrace 16/20, touch 17/20, vines 16/20.

My equipments are golden eagle helm, meteoric gloves, ancient silk shirt and all the others warden (including wep). I also have a gold rejuv necklace and a gold spirit bodkin. So mana is not a huge problem (but still is). I want to be able to solo and I only lv solo, but as well heal at least decently during boss fights. So all rounded I guess. Any suggestions on anything? (equipment, build, skills, etc)

Thanks!

Looks like a solid dps build with a high touch for bosses. I prefer bark over embrace for less dmg taken but that's my own opinion. Get a diamond icon when you hit 80. Better than the warden wpn with the bonus to nature magic. Next is upgrades to your lux. Work towards the golden crown of wizardry first for the focus bonus since you already have a regen offhand. As far as a new offhand goes upgrade to either the masters grimorie or a golden trident. That choice will depend on your build. If you still want a solo dps build I suggest the trident. If you wanna go more group support get the book. If you do get the trident I suggest adding howling winds to your skill set. With it maxed and the added def and dex from trident you'd be surprised at how many times an enemy misses you. I dropped storms touch for howling winds when I got a trident and love it. I kill a little slower but have basically no downtime in between fights for energy regen after having a high storms touch so it evens out I think. It does benefit though when I duo with my ranger buddies though since they have a high enough defence that they barely get hit.

Howling wind works by dropping the enemy's attack to a points below your defence. There doesnt seem to be a smooth transition between enemies hitting you every time and hitting none; there isn't really a middle. Sometimes you will find that with not enough focus, the howling wind isn't high enough to make a drastic change in damage received. The trident is useful because it adds 50 dex I believe? or 75...either way its 100/150 defence. You can forego the trident and stick with bodkin if you have either 1. a high enough base howling wind to be effective on mobs you train on, 2. howling wind rings if #1 is not true, or 3. solstice or earthstone armor to increase your defence. The trident seems much less useful once you see even greater solstice boots, which add a respectable 75 defence. In addition, the added focus on book will give u better heals, skill damage, and wind debuff. I was able to find a pair of greater solstice boots for just 5k, and because howling wind isn't commonly used you might be able to trade for a ring, like I did for my grand one :) I think trident is ur final option, and you should look at the cheap alternatives you have before you make the costly upgrade from bodkin to trident.

Correction, trident has 45 dex so it only adds 90 defence. For a howling wind build, it would be better to get solstice/earthstone armor or rings. I dont think many people use radiant earthstones defence rings, and that adds a very respectable 250 defence
The trident adds 45 dex and 100 defense so in essence it adds 190. With some added stat points into dex you can get a high enough defense to dodge a good amount of incoming attacks. I currently am up to 310 defense on my Druid and I have no problems soloing oakhearts. I can only imagine what I could get it up to if I had some earthstone gear to increase defense.
