Glad I got that one right. (I've just been informed that Community is a she, which I didn't pick up on...)
I'm not sure who told you this, but I can confirm that I'm not a 'she'. I am in fact a 'he'.

I think the previous Community was a lady, which is where the confusion may be coming from.
I think I am about to experience a metaphysical dichotomy.... yup... there it is :?

... and it's run its course. 8-)

Thanks for clearing that up, Community. My profession has given me a knack for picking up on linguistic differences. I was questioning my entire education, and wondering if I was worth my hourly rate. I can now return to charging obscene amounts with pride.

Lol i made that post about you on general discussion and didn't even see this :). Great to have you and looking forward to some awesome game developments.

Just an idea for you... I know admin and mabye others on the team also have a balanced arsenal of charecters on each server which is probably where you got the idea.

However at this point I would suggest picking your favorite class and "lixing him up". The faster you can get one single toon to 140+, the better. Also join a high level clan or create your own.

You absolutley have to see the game from that perspective to create good high end content.

And if you need pointers on good builds that will get you up that high ask on the forums we would be ECSTATIC to help you ;)

Why play a class where skills cost more than other classes for same damage?
Why play a class with no auto attack?
Why play a class with 1/3 the armor?
Why play a caster?

Hello Wulver! I was just wondering, are you going to be working on any combat rework? Because every skill looks the same and some just show the icon photos when used on the monsters haha!
Skill animations are definitely something we would like to improve, but they're not something we'll be able to get for Update 4.

Hi Wulver

I was wondering whether you are able to provide some insights to the future of CH.

Basically, RPG / MMO games are played for 3 - 4 reasons
1) Storyline / Graphics
2) Equipment gear
3) Character developing / leveling - Stats and skills
4) Communication / Multi Player

Im sure we can expect more content regarding (1), (2) and (4) but I am curious whether we are reaching a pit stop soon with (3) in terms of skills.
As mentioned before, a lv 150 player can have 35/35 in a choosen skill. The person can maxed this skill at 50/35 either with two aggragoth bracelets + 5 each followed by a royal ring or a few dragon rings +7/+9 or even with some of the Charms from Corvax + 10. Not to mention with update 4, the person will have another 30 odd skill points till lv 180.

In the past and current present, each update content usually lasts about 3 months odd. The remaining months are used on endless grinding and use of knowledge exliers till the new update is out. I believe most people are willing to grind without too much of a complaint is becausethey can have more skill points to play with and also reaching the next skill cap, in this case with update 4, lv 180 at 40/40. If you add with this existing aggragoth + corvax skill drops + new content skill drops, it seems very likely we have reach maxed peaked on most of our core skills. If that really happens, there will honestly be nothing to look forward to once players have reaced lv 180 odd and completed update 4 content. There is no incentive to level less the item requirement level plus stats to distribute.

I may be thinking too much but I do feel this is happening soon. So with (3) being no longer available, it is up to (2) to substain future update contents. I played Diablo 3 back on May but stopped after 2 months simply because they have a level cap of 60 and zero skill points. While the equipment gear keeps on improving, it just wasnt as exciting as before and nothing to look forward apart from (2). I do hope CH has taken steps in delaying the peak being reached soon. One obvious prevention would be introducing new skills, not useless skills mind you.
MorphMarfa has retired from Celtic Heroes and most probably wont be resurfacing. He had a enjoyable time during his druid adventures in Taranis.

Hi Morphmarfa,

Thanks for the detailed post! In Update 4 we're bringing on line new tech including the ability to add bonuses directly to skills. These new bonuses will provide a great variety in loot drops and gear specialization and will hopefully address some of your concerns. In the medium term we're looking at addressing skill balance and adding new, useful skills for all of the classes. Long term, we'll be looking at the skill cap and adjusting it as necessary. We've also got a number of really exciting plans in the works for Update 5 that we can't talk about just yet.

Dear OTM Wulver
Welcome to One Thumb and Celtic Heroes :)
I admire your passion for MMO. My bio parents played and taught me Dungeons and Dragons (Dice/On Paper version of course) when I was but a toddler! Ever since then I've played DnD online and on paper, Pirates of the Caribbean Online, and WoW (not my favorite). Last year in early August I found Celtic Heroes in the app store on my 2nd gen iPod. I've fallen in love with it so extremely!!! You work for One Thumb (sooooo jealous!!!) which is so cool!!!! Love to see you on the forums, mate.
Cheers.
