I haven't been there for while

I dont know how much of an issue this is in other worlds, but this has become a problem in Herne.
People, or characters, act like total jerks in game, then later claim it wasnt them, it was someone else from their clan.

I thought sharing accounts was against the ToS.

I have several screenshots of people admitting they share their accounts.
Is it worthwhile to bother posting these?
It doesn't appear anything is done regarding this.

If there is a direct contact to admin, i will send along the screenshots.

I see this as clan Infection getting owned at the battle field
So coming to forums and crying to admin to weaken there revel clan

It's nothing like that, I feel we are the dominant clan in herne. Our competition just changed their clan name claiming a fresh start and that their new clan is against the actions their previous clan did, try and reset our bosses and try to cause grief. They went as far as giving one of our members abunch of idols as a peace offer for the idols they had caused us. But at the same time they brought over the same members who are the main reason we beef in the first place, and they continue to talk trash, dont know if their generals are aware of what goes on cause they are speaking this verbal diareah from not only their account but now on other clan members accounts. Just to make it clear this is not a whine because we r being owned in the battle field, it is because people are sharing accounts and buying accounts due to someone quiting, and using it to cause negative effects on others game play when both are stated to be against the TOS. So admin can simply lay this topic and topics like this to rest by either finally taking action on people who choose to not obey the rules or simply change their terms of service so they aren't being broken everyday with no enforcement

This isn't about Infection vs. any other clan... It's about account sharing
(Although there are ways account sharing can be abused in a clan Vs. clan setting, as pointed out)

The problem here is, using the one gent who is kinda/sorta an example so far...

i adore Superman, and if none of my clannies were on, would consider him a trustworthy person to xfer for me. Therefore, if he chooses to share his accounts (and i am not saying he has), it is at my risk too, isn't it? He is also an upstanding guy, and if something disappeared, i am pretty sure he would help make it right...

But what about the guy I haven't been playing with for a year? Someone I have known for several months, and done a few xfers with because he is trustworthy... What if someone logs onto his acct and takes my stuff? It's a legitimate trade *at MY own risk* only i had no idea he shares his acct ... OTM isn't going to give me my things back bc of a bad trade, even if the guy at the controls isn't who I thought it was. He doesn't get punished, the guy who logged in as him doesn't get punished...

Now same story, only the guy doesn't share his acct, but says he did (because there a no consequences for sharing your account)... Same diff... I lost my stuff, and he doesn't get punished

Not sure who this madonion character is, but its obvious hes oblivious to the situation. Between accounts being sold and accounts being shared and peoples reputations being ruined because of one of their "trusted" friends go on their account and not only act like a clown, but hide their identity and ruin a players reputation. Im assuming u never had a good reputation mr *** thats why u dont play on herne anymore, prob a scammer is my guess.

Superman, im disappointed in you, how could you trust pancho/nhdk to use your account when u were chieftan of ur clan. U know his history.

Its not about competition (i will take your word for it )
Its a shared account and you lost your items ..... Did you read ToS or the trading info
Cuz according to admin and ToS and game DONT TRADE ITEMS YOU DONT EXPECT TO GET THEM BACK

Although we do not have a problem in morrigan with account sharing I can see how it could easily become an issue. I am certainly against selling trading accounts and I would be 100% against account sharing if the game had a proper mechanism for clan bank . The problem with banning account sharing is how else do we use a clan bank other than have multiple users having access ?

Ok, here is what this is really about.

I'm sick of people in a certain clan whining because they are being targeted "for no reason whatsoever".
When we bother to explain the animosity, the excuse is always "it wasn't me, so and so was using my account"

Ok fine. Everyone on this thread seems to agree on one thing: if you share your account, and someone is using it to scam, cause trouble, or just be an ass, its on you, the account holder.

A suggestion would be to be fair to your new recruits and inform them that shared accounts can and will be used when someone wants to cause in game trouble but don't have the balls to reveal who they really are.

This is all fine. Play how you want to play. I am enjoying the animosity, and your failed attempts at disrupting our fights. It just makes us better. I think you guys are just mad that there are finally people strong enough to stand up to you, and just plain sick of your bullying crap.

Lastly, as someone else mentioned, sharing accounts is against current ToS. Either change the ToS or enforce it. I don't care which. IMO sharing accounts is lame, and the way you guys do it is cowardly, and stabbing your own clannies in the back. I would never share my account, but that's just me. Do what you want.

You have a lot of feedback and interest for someone who hasn't played in a long time.

I see no problems with account sharing. It should be done at your own risk.

Here is the problem:
I think you are a nice guy, respectful, etc.
But those that you share your account with are everything but. If i talk to you, I have no idea who i am really talking to. Therefor i talk to you at my own risk.
And by that reasoning, i should probably just not talk to you, which i think i will do. It's nothing personal, but i don't want to talk to the others sharing your account.

If you are comfortable with your clannies representing you when you are offline, thats on you.
And just like CHplayer tried to illustrate, if "Superman" is running around being rascist, being mean, or just being an ass, i guess we hold you responsible. And that is truly unfortunate.
