Foxtrot's (beast's) guide to making money

#1
hello all, yes yes it is i whom you impatiently wait for xD... i know yall miss me xD..

so i come to you today with a simple, easy and very helpful guide on how to make gold, now if ur under age 18 or not higher than lvl 60 plz click that *"back"* button on ur browser everybody else go ahead and start reading.. JK THIS IS FOR EVERYONE!!

To make gold you have to know 5 rules:
1. show no mercy
2. dont get carried away
3. rules 1 and 2 dont apply at all to this what so ever...
4. rule 3 is false
5. all rules are to be ignored

back on track... lets start with the lowest lvl...

lvl 1-30:
pretty much all you wanna consider doing is just lay low, dont buy(spend) any gold you receive, concentrate on lvling. i know i know that its hard sometimes because your eager to spend on weps and armor but trust me, all you wanna do is lvl, not buy anything and keep with the armor and weps you start out with. now if your bored of lvling, you can farm(grind) for gold how? answers simple look for mobs that are lower lvl than you, that die in 1-3 hit, do less dmg and give good gold. depending on your lvl.. i would recommend lvl 1-15 in crookback hallow, lvl 15-22 flintblade camp near temple and finnaly lvl 23-30 at northern peninsula near the skullcrushers

lvl 31-50
this is where it gets tough... your getting stronger every lvl, starting to do good dmg(as a character your lvl),one thought pops up in your mind: u gotta get ancient gear... 2 options fellas, again you can keep to lvling.. you get gold and xp, depending on where your lvling you can also get drops that you can sell to the merchants for a decent 30-50 gold(shalemont; mobs drop connacht weps) this was your first choice.. second choice is serious farming, places? well there are tons of areas you can farm at, as your read in "lvl 1-30" you can farm at northern peninsula, crookback or flintblade, but those places dont give "that" much good gold so lets take it up a notch and introduce yall to dustwither catacombs! yes, i know ur excited... so lvls 31-40 i recommend you farm for gold in withered vaults, good amount of gold drop, and you also get other drops from mobs like armor, weps and rotten flesh, which you can sell to the vendor for additional 0-20 gold depending on the item... for lvls 32-50 if you want you can farm at withered vaults, but you also have a choice to go to deaths caress, to be more precise, farm at one of my favorite areas: the skeleton area right infront of the leystone... dustwither tombgaurd, dustwither cryptgaurd and dry bones... all give very good amount of gold drop and they also drop weps and armor... which again you can sell to the vendor... also another helpful tip: if your farming at skeletons, dry bones will spawn which is like an advantage for you, when you kill dry bone, you get bone shard which is needed for a quest you can do over and over again, you get the quest from the druid in withered vaults leystone, once you turn in the quest you get 20 gold and black chalk, and you can further sll the black chalk for 2 gold coins...

lvl 51-79
good job you almost made it halfway through the forum without dieing... again pressure start to build up more here.. lvl 60=otherworld and that mean you will be wanting to buy quartz gear.. so heres what you "can" (if you wanna) do... you can just keep saving that money and stick with your starters gear or spend the money you have save on regens from the scavenger vendor or you can buy anc gear (remember one thing im not forcing you to do this)... so again we have a couple options... stick with lvling as you get gold and xp... or we can serious farm... now your gonna be introduced to some new options and some options are gonna get taken away....
1. dustwither catacombs(skeleton area)
2. dustwither catacombs(west, east and north room)
3. you can do mini bosses such as defectors and/or the 3 bosses in combs(found in each north, east, west room.. example: disciple kiarra, avatar of donn)
4. shalemont...
5. Stonevale
now i have described point 1 and points 2 and 3 are easy to understand so im gonna talk you through point 4... shalemont ravine; a wonderful place full of alot of low lvls(trying to lvl through fettles) high lvl checking for redbane, artisal, ironspike, that one random person selling stuff over shout and those 2 people talking over shout and than theres you... you are there for a reason my friend, to get gold... for lvls 51-... well for all lvls you can farm anywhere in that area but the 2 best places are shaleriver and the camp across greygorge... or you can do laps of the map, every lap should take you 45 mins-1 hr 30 mins, and somewhere near 4k gold, and you can sell the drops you get after you kill a mob.. Now for stonevale, this is very easy, again u can lvl and get gold at same time to serious farmin.... For serious farming u can(depending on ur lvl) farm at southern road, faerie pit at southern road or behind sv farm, or blue wisps.. Now stonevale isnt a good source of gold and does more his to kill so i recommend sticking to shale or combs but thats totally up to u..

Lvl 80-100
Hazaa ur a "grown up" now.. Pretty much theres nothing new in this.. Keep with stonevale, combs and shale...

Lvl 101+
Well.. Since Ll u have loads of piles of golds theres nothing i can say.. but if ur wanting to farm; U can lvl.. But it gets harder so farming alone is good... Same places as discussed above; combs, stonevale, shale.. That said one place that is added is ow... Depending on ur lvl u can decide where u wanna lvl....

That was all i got for yall..
But couple helpful tips:
1. Try not to spend alot of money on gear and weps( by that i mean dont buy anc, and 2 days later buy quartz)
2. Spend the least u can
3. Save for regens, ammy, speed gloves and shoes, mostly lux stuff...
4. Save for dia gear(not forcing u to)
5. Do side quests like the bone shard quest in combs, daily quests; the arena quest, it gives good amount of xp and 200 good every time u do it, the quest that u get from crossroads in lirs, look next to leystone and u will find a women: help her kill a wolf.. Thats easy 20 gold
6. Dont forget to sell drops, one way is to gather drops while ur killing, then if u die, sell to nearest merchant or fast travel to castle and sell
7. Sell stuff that people are wanting... Plat store items; such as elixirs, idols.... And stuff like (ex.. Pumpkins, coven hats, bat canes
8. If u buy something like a broom, and want to sell it, than consider keeping it in bank or ur bag until patch is over so it becomes rare(cant find it anymore and u can sell for more than u bought it for in store), unless u need the gold immediatly.
9. Try not to buy alot of discs or fragment, lvl up, join a good clan, go for boss runs
10. SAVE SAVE SAVE!!!

Ty all for ur patince in reading everything i said!! I hope this helped u, and look forward to help u some more!

I think if you want Frozen Armor you'd better start doing the Warden quests at 60 (This is the lvl req right? Or is it 50?). That money you saved is gonna be used on A LOT of frags. This might shock some people new to the game and just starting out, but some are worth as much as 50k (You vets know what I mean-Drags...), and you've gotta get 4 of these so brace yourself, lol.

i dont like the idea of endless farming for low levels... My advice for low levels is : just grind and level.

I recently started a new character on Taranis... I'm not a very experienced player, nor am I new.
First thing I did was create a druid. Now, i'm level 45, if you want to make money, make a druid. Just level till 20 or so and you should have around 2000 Round Golden Circles in your STATS page ... Then, figure out the prices of items and remember them. Now get to a leystone in Stonevale & Shalemont and sit there looking at what people are selling. If you see something selling for a low price ( i.e. Sun Disc Frag for 2K ) buy it, or even ask for a lower price. Then, you change to a different area and you sell the item you bought for lets say 3K for the Sun Disc. Now you just made yourself 1K !

Tip : When you are merching, don't be afraid to make a loss, if you need the money, just take the loss.

Using this merching method, I spent 3-4 days doing the same thing and i have probably spent 40K on elixers, book of alts and other useless things :)

Also, I made a load of friends and mostly, they are rather high level. So, I would go out on boss runs with them.

I will not go in depth about how I merch, because I dont want to have too much competition :):)

+1 to low levels farming. Especially rangers. I have a noob ranger (level 35) and there is nowhere to one, two, or three-hit farm that gives good gold... except my leveling targets! So ya, low levels farming is not a very good idea... Btw, I would not buy sv anc unless you're one of those people that buy plat or make gold really fast, and even then I'd get quartz because it's better. Warden is easy to get, but beware- the astral weapon is hard to get. First you must kill 5 rare wisps. Next You have to get like 7 diamond items. Diamond items also only drop from pretty rare bosses so be careful when choosing. Some people just go for diamond...

Hey i havnt seen you around im godzilla nice to meet you from Taranis as well, merching is the best way to make gold IMO you may not make alot in one go but over time it beats farming by far, first you have to find a buyer and seller so for eg(true story) a ranger was buying some drag discs and i saw someone selling them too, i ask ranger how much she buy for then she said 40k i said ok then i went to the seller and asked how much he sell he said 35k the 5k profit wasn't good enough then he said if u buy both of mine ill do 30k each so i said ok then i bought and resold them for 80k so ive just made a profit if 20k
