I could be mistaken but rapids cool down is always the same as how long the spell lasts.

You should probably read the post from the beginning criminal as both Ailwen and I keep rapid at 1/35

the cooldown isnt the same as the spell lasts, the cooldown is almost twice than that
and also, if the cooldown wont change by lvl, then at lvl 20 the skill will last for 15-16 secs while the cooldown is 10-11 secs, u can cast it over and over again

So I tested rapid with 1/35 , 5/35 , 13/35 , when cast rapid duration lasts exact same amount of time as the cool down .

I'm not sure where you got those numbers from dude.

The thing with maxing rapid shot (30/30 etc) is that rangers usually dont have the luxury of standing there and shoot for 20 odd secs on the mob.
Usually you cast it and wack around for 15 odd secs before the mobs come to you and you need to do the running & bolas again.

I find lv 15-16 at 50 energy cost for 15 secs odd to be about right. It expires before the mob comes to the ranger and gives enough time for the ranger to bolas and run away.

Hence I agree with not maxing it along with the insane energy cost for leveling purposes.

I really recommend it for low lvls or players unable to get heroic gloves. It will do wonders. But if u have heroic gloves, not much use for it.

use time increases jst with cooldown...

If you use a lvl 15 or 20 rapid... And kill the mob as fast as you would on a haste elixer, how is that useless? Cooldown is then while you are not fighting.

It is not always like this... But it happens a lot in group lvling. Only need to cast rapid once and the mob is mostly dead.

Nobody says it doesn't make you kill faster , it does but only half the time . The value isn't there for putting the points in to it

You seem to have completely missed the point of this thread.

So how many points maximum would be advised to spend on it? I have 5 at the moment. I take it i dont upgrade it further?
