Rapid shot is useful only at 1, unless you are a spear-based or strength-based ranger. If you use a bow, and are a dex build, keep it at one. I'm only lvl 83, but I have 1 pt. each in rapid and barbed. I am entierly a dex built ranger, and Im using atm a diamond bow. It depends on how tough the mob is, but if its a boss or tough mob (to me) I use steady, spikes, sharp, barbed, rapid. When rapid wears off, Ive normally got at least 1/4 of the mobs health down. If I need ill heal, sharp, barbed, rapid. I just keep doing this until its down. Rapid at one lets me heal faster and keep my health bar above 1/2 almost all the time. Barbed might take longer at times to reboot, so then ill skip it and just do rapid. This lets me to keep almost constant fire on the mob. As I dont have haste gloves, this is useful. When I finally get them, I will no longer use rapid as with haste gloves I can shoot as fast all the time as when I use rapid. Just my two cents.

I use rapid a lot. Currently lvl 123 (maybe 124 by the time you read this!) My general tactic is steady - bolas - run back a short dist - sharp - rapid, during which the mob is on me at 1/2 hits so I tank it the rest of the way down (with the aid of light heal and more sharp). The tank bit goes out of the window for 3*+ rock dudes (whatever variety) - more running involved, and sometimes an additional rapid in the mix.
None of those skills are maxed - all within the 25-28 range.
Serves me well. I solo rock guys pdq
Btw, my build is all on Dex, Foc, Vit. Str doesn't get a look in. Dex and Vit highest. My energy bar doesn't move much :/

Yes, as confirmed, I guess it does some good, like when you almost kill the placeholder for its golds and you run out of energy and die....still have that problem though even changing it because of my light heal being like a level 150s takes a lot of health so it is still better because now rapid doesn't take much and I agree that most of the time you cast rapid and run is a waste of energy.

Please stop mentioning how great your heal is . It's nothing like a 150's since most 150's have the rings or other light heal items they are posting 40+ light heals , but again we are all fully aware how great your heal is and I don't think it needs to be mentioned again .
