Re: VOTING: End bosses dicing

+ADVANCED

I would like to change my vote to ADVANCED. I originally voted for the simple approach because I thought it would be more fair for warriors. I wasn’t aware that price gouging was so common so I understand why class specific dicing may avoid this. Perhaps I’m overly idealistic but I was planning to fair trade (or give away) items that I couldn’t use. Then again, I have never sold a drag because I prefer the give them to clan mates. Also, I like the sense of camaraderie that comes from class specific dicing. I want to be thought of as a member of a team working toward a common goal, not a competitor for a drop.

I would like to make everybody aware of toys subliminal messaging if its not obvious already hahah, advanced and simple, toy is saying the way we dice now is hard but is it really? No we dice without disputes currently i think they should be refered to as toys or shads simply to make it fair without any marketing in it. Simply say:

1. Shads
-1 group- who gets keeps
-2+ groups, 1 drop- all roll
-2+ groups, 2+ drops- class restrict the drops

2. Toys
-1 group- who gets keeps
-2+ groups, 1 drop- all roll
-2+ groups, 2+ drops- all roll, highest number chooses a prize, all roll again, highest number chooses a prize, this continues until all drops are chosen.

After talking to shadow in game and reading his post i changed my mind to Shadows way of dicing as i have a better understanding now.

Honestly i think it would be ridiculous to have people dicing for items they don't nessasrily need. Let's take for example in the previous astral rems, daft spent over 600k for all his pieces simply because other people were getting the drops over the ones he needed. Now 600k?? I've only spent 200k or so in total for my pieces and stopped complaining after hearing 600k...
Now if may be the case we allow all classes to role for any drops, then it would be a cluster of spending again, toy i thought this was one of the reasons you were frustrated about other classes getting drops they don't need. I don't know about you but i don't want to have spend millions of gold on pieces other classes get or they keep saying they will only trade. Sorry for using you LG but this is a fact, imagine lg won a red rem from dicing and i was the only tank in group who acutually NEEDS the piece, knowing lg (as toy said shes standing by her rights to sell at any price) she would charge an unimaginable amount simply because the boss itself is going to be a hella hard, i mean werr litrally gonna get butt-perfect by it. And if for some reason she sold to a rich person like lep (who was not in the fight) and i was there still saving or something, how would u think i'd feel? for one i would not look at lg the same and just play with face on her, and two i would be seriously frustrated having be the one who tanks and earnt the *** drop by fighting, than a player who spends billions of plats and just got it because he has the money.

My only issue is people getting drops they don't need and then charge other people like biitches just because they won it from dicing.
So i change my mind and vote +COMPLICATED

@ Luk : For one group, who gets keep yes, but not if this is a class drop. Exactly like for prince. One group was enough, but if it was druid item for example, only druids in the grouped diced.

@ Sarge : Please stop to play the kido. I mention that our server is at peace compared to other servers, thats why we all talk together. But simply getting back to the old system where players like daft and me used to pay up to 1 million gold just to be full meteroric and frozen is a move... that will divide Lugh. In fact, we should simply ask another question : Should the players involved in a fight be surely rewarded ?

I quote myself again, how many times during frozen quest i heard again and again :

-"We were in group and this mage got a red lion, but he wants only to swap for a blue lion"
- "We were in group and this druid just got a red bear, but she promised to keep in her clan or to give to her friend"
- "We were in group and this warrior has one green stag, but he keep for his lower alt"
- "We were in group and this ranger got a purple stag, but she sold it to 300k to lep"

Because if someone win a dragon armor item and just keep for a low alt, a friend who was not here, a clansmate who was not here or simply sell his drop to the highest plat bider, this is against all the spirit of a community. How many more gold should we spend to get equiped ? This is stupid as we loose time to get equiped, and we create frustration and hate about items.

But who can be frustrated and hating somebody for wining a dice and equip his own toon ???

Once again Toy you were the first to promote drops according to class, and now you seems against, that really make no sense at all. I fyou want to organise things more faily in Lugh... I am really fine with it, as I am so bored to be the one targeted and tagged as the bad guy. But just trying to cancel the drop according to class will just promote greed. That's the worst move you can make as the new emerging peaceful guide as it will clearly divide our fragile comunity.

Again with the name calling and insults. Why?? It's your choice to have the best armour. If you decide to spend gold or platinum, its your choice. A drop is a drop. Roll and if your lucky keep it. If we take your suggestion for class drops I see the following. Usually 1 or 2 rangers get grouped. No offense guys but usually Akbar and Wytt. Ranger drop they have 50% chance for drop. If only 1 present than 100% chance of drop. Druids usually 5-6 at the least. One drop, 20% chance for drop. Warriors, not sure but the majority of toons in fight. Less chance for drop. Mages, probably the same as rangers.
A Toy approach keeps things simple. It would also demonstrate who is truly greedy and who is not. Yeah, you might not get dragon armour the very first day but who cares. It will eventually come to you.
Again Shadow, make your point without calling names. Your delivery would be much better without it.

Guys, I really give up on trying to help you because you just do not get it. It never was about "greedy Shadow and generous Toy". Also you are using suggestive and manipulative examples completely out of the scope of the discussion.

Yes, daft may spent 600k. But he may very easily do it again even with your "better" drop distribution system. The fact is that he might not be lucky with dice rolls which ends up with either a luckier friend gives him what he needs for free or he will buy it for a price he sees fit. So all your talking about is just a bunch of promising "possibly" and "maybe" and "if it goes well" but nothing really changes at all.

Now with many warriors, daft has even lower chance of getting what he needs. No warrior will probably sell a drop to him because of high demand for warrior items. And since he cannot get what he needs by trade he is stuck. No money from drops, no drops he needs, no progress at all. Well, not true exactly, daft made it to the Elite. :-) But all other non-Elite warriors will end up like this.

Yes, you can limit the number of warriors by applying high level limits or excluding people you do not like. But we are back at the "Elite has all and others just deal with it" which I am trying to avoid.

What I tried is to give people an option and free will. It works well in Ancients, we help each other, no one is greedy and no one is overpricing items. Why are you all so scared to try it too?

Btw, be realistic. How many of you except those closest to Shadow have a bunch of good Aggy drops? Sammie, I believe you are not one of them? Why? Because you are a warrior. I am not one of them too, I have just one lame druid book (but I am happy with it anyway!), because I am a druid. From Ancients only rangers (Akbar and LG) have decent drops because they are in the favoured class as I explained. Maybe Callumallen has some more stuff? Not sure. Ancients have no high level rogues nor mages so that's about it. Pretty lame for the second strongest clan in Lugh. :-)

I hope I do not sound mad, I am not, I am just amused. :-) I just do not get it, why you all (except the Elite) insist on having worse chances to get something good.

This is my last post on this topic, do as you see it fit. I am ok with any solution, because I play to have fun only and I will help where I can and I do not care if I get a drop or not (although I will be happy if I get one, of course :-)). But please, do not whine for what you have chosen. :-)

@shadow Yeah, you do a good villain. :-) You are like a Darth Vader of Lugh. :-) Lolz, Shadow, I do not know what would be people doing without you. :-) Glad you are around, bro, whatever is said here. :-) If only we could drop all this talking and just enjoy the game all together. :-)
