Re: Tips for building an awesome druid

@RoyalSeraphim: Well the coding or whatever you call it does seem wrong. Sorry about that. I post on boards maybe once every seven years and at times it shows. That is an example of me working back to back 16 hour shifts and posting without caffeine on board. All apologies. What I was trying to state seemed pretty clear but since it somehow ended up all tangled in your post I will rewrite it below and remove any reply related wording so as to not confound the reader and perhaps garner some answers to my questions.

After reading through these posts, two questions have been really nagging me.

1. How to a choose a good clan? I just posted this question on the boards in the general discussion area and I am getting some good feedback. I think my clan is too loose and uncoordinated for a healer only Druid. More specifically though is this: what does a Druid look for in a clan to advance their levels in the early stages? Any advice is welcome.

Soloing is one aspect of leveling which brings me to the second question.

2. I have bunk gear and weapons. If I am to level I need to defend myself. I am great if I can heal myself but Nature's Touch gets blocked almost every time I get hit so I die...a lot! Res Idols and ley stones are very, very rare and/or expensive so I don't bother. Why I mention this is because I try to complete my quests which do bump my levels but doing it solo is hard and I seldom can convince a group to tag along with a poorly outfitted, lame weapon, dies real quick because he is a healer focus build Druid. I am perplexed.

Furthermore, I encountered a level 26 druid who had Abundance and Nature's Breath already!! How did they do that! I want that so I am a better score for a hunting party.

Thanks for your input.

From whatever world you are in, i am from Taranis, choose the clan that your heart seeks. I know i joined Pride because of different reasons, but i did end up liking Pride, therefore i stayed. Pride was not the top clan when i joined, it did not matter to me. Just try to look for a clan that comforts you, takes care of you, gears you with essentials. Such as warden armour, meteoric, and frozen meteoric armour.

As for leveling, i wouldn't go dps unless you are desperate to get to “point-b”. For me, i know my desperate time was from level 113, rushing towards 120. That was the only time i leveled with a dps build. Anytime i am dps elsewhere, i am either having fun, or just boss hunting solo. My nature's embrace cuts on healing as i generally dont need to heal myself even during bosshunting. Nature's breath you can acquire by getting Sveltina Pages 1,2,3,4, and 5. Added onto that, you also need to get Blue Book Bindings (only 1 is needed), and Blue Book Cover. Abundance is acquired through the main storyline, or you can also purchase such skill directly behind you when you fast-travel to farcrag castle. The nature's breath skill quest is acquired from the tavern man on the second floor to the right.

Any more questions, please ask, i am willing to answer.

1). You have to ask yourself a few things. What are you looking for in a clan currently:
A). To be in a strong clan and feel respected
B). To be a family clan and feel protected and loved
C). To be in a active clan who bosses reguarly
D). To be a social clan just for the communication part

You probably should be looking for a clan that have all of the above points but sometimes that option may not be available to you till your of a much higher level which your right in relating it to Q2

2). Again, you need to ask yourself now which is impt. Gold or leveling.
While it is true both can be done at the same time, it depends on your urgency of which areas you really want first. If its for gold, some will tell you to level up faster so that you can get invited more often into meteor full boss fights + wisp bosses which is about 1k gold plus if your lucky enough, a few extra K depending on the drops you get. This is how most support druids earn their gold and they can usually get about 10k-25k gold per day depending how active they are. This howver only applies when you have a good heal and a good reputation. Good heals obviously comes with higher levels when you can allocate more skill points into N.touch.

The other alternative for gold grinding is simply the fettlecaps and the pumpkpins for the event quests. If you work hard enough in collecting them, eventually you will get a nice figure of gold from selling. Patience is of coz required here in shouting for interested buyers. The drawback is this will severly cut your leveling potential

Overall i will say leveling shld be of top priority. WHile it is hard for druids at the beginning, this is a process that all druids go through but the rewards you get at the end is amazingly rewarding. Be it gold, gear or sense of achievement.
MorphMarfa has retired from Celtic Heroes and most probably wont be resurfacing. He had a enjoyable time during his druid adventures in Taranis.

Yeah, explained it in better detail. Mine was more general. Morph is in a good clan, he knows more about druids, he is a hybrid i believe. Anything about being a hybrid, he knows well, don't ask me, i got nothing to offer. I don't know how to organize and do well of my skillpoints apart from making either pure dps or support. Only option is the best, in terms of damage etc. efficiency in leveling and support combined, i believe Morph has the answer anyone is looking for. He is also in the same world as me.

Also, yes i do agree with Morph on the achievement feeling, i do feel like i have achieved a great goal. Gold is no problem with me, so long as i leveled fast and got gold later.

@Morph: you really tied all of my larger questions together that you even solved my smaller questions which I had not posted. I am more interested in the A) and B) aspect of you answer to question one but I needed it pointed out. I have another post that I aired yesterday that even asks "How do I choose a clan?" you should repost this there for players with similar questions.

As to your answer to number two: I am about 75%/25% leveling vs gold. I want to level way more than getting gold but I am realizing just how poorly outfitted I am at my level and I am frustrated. I know gold would help.

I have to thank everyone here for all their tips and ideas for building an awesome Druid. Thank you so much.

At your low level, you shouldn't be worrying about gold and gear. Just focus on skills and stats and finding friends to level with. I am a level 54 as of now and I leveled all the way doing a pure support druid. I would have been much higher level had my studies and personal life not mattered to me. Also, I got my gold mainly from bossing. If you can't find anyone to level with, just go to farcrag and talk to people around your level.

I disagree with Roy about bossing at low levels, I started bossing and getting gold at a rather low level ( 25-35 ) but, I spent everything on book of alterations ( finally found the perfect skill build :D

+100000 Royal for the great teachings!!

at lvl 100 I switched to "Pure Support" (all focus I believe). with Maxed Touch (1060!), Embrace (128), Bark (600+), and Abund (800+), being invited to boss groups is consistent (Hence my low lvl of 108 :/).... If I were you, I would definitely reccomend going "Full Support" (not all-focus) unless you are a Heal-Addict like me.

Great job Royal :)
