It depend ...If you get to 150 without plat, then you're inhuman.
You know those noobs you see in Farcrag? One of the reasons that they're noobs is because they haven't bought plat.
They might get enough money for ancient plate or maybe even quartz, but not full astral or any lux.
A druid probably has the best chance to lvl up and get money by participating in boss fights. But it would still take forever to agglomerate enough money for tons of Quigley's items or the Scavenger's items. Have you seen 2ana? She plays quite a bit, but she doesn't have any items worth above 100k.
I'll admit that I have bought some plat. Not a lot though.
I spent $4 more than a year ago to get 2k for plate armor.
I spent $10 for 10k while I was in my 60s I think.
I spent $1 for a book of alt when I was like lvl 80-90ish.
I finally spent $20 during the Black Friday double plat event which spent on elixirs which I sold.
So that's $35 spent on plat.
I have never bought ( with plat ) elixirs , sigils , idols( i bought 2 with my 2last plat ok.) , and resto pot
Before other world , Falgreen was a money giver , the price for drags was 150-200k
So it was easy to get rejuvs if you get a dragon disc .
