GUYS...I don't understand what you are saying. 1 plat a day will do LITERALLY NOTHING to how much money OTM makes. The people who buy plat will continue to buy plat and support OTM, but for people like me who can't buy plat, it helps much more than you could imagine.
And I never said watch a video :/ I dont know where you guys got that. It could be something as simple as clicking a button or as "complicated" as answering some questions. If OTM wants to make money off of advertisement then Im very sure they would have done it by now.

Yes you can. I and im pretty sure everybody else on my world has no problem getting elixers and idols and pots.I have about 4 mil in items, 800k in gold, and never bought any plat. But the stuff I am talking about is stuff that cannot be traded. 1 plat a day is VERY easy to keep maintained. People will not switch accounts to do this. All OTM has to do (which is already being done...theres just no use for it) is keep track of the accounts made on one UDID/Mac address. If a player has multiple devices (Im guessing the most somebody has is 5?) then the wifi address is also tracked. Using these steps, EVERY player can only get one platinum a day. And that thing you said about people just logging for one minute a day to get 1 plat is ridiculous. Why would you play the game if that was the case...

secondly i dont believe the part where you had to drop ur warden and bound stuff and sell ur diamond gear(why would you sell diamond?! thats just.. nevermind...) ... well if you had diamond, your certainly obove 80 and you prob have full meteor(if you dont then you need the warden to get meteor kiddo) as well and it look like you've joined in late febuary of 2012 so i think you'd be well above 100..)

I did drop all of the items which I stated and I have full frozen so even though I wanted to keep them, I had no real use for the diamond and warden. I joined about 2 weeks after Halloween of 2011. I only made a forum account in February 2012.

I buy plenty of Plat but I certainly feel for younger players with no income or any player with no budget for Plat.

Many online games reward daily playing and as another poster mentioned 1 Plat a day will make NO difference to OTM and their financial bottom line.

Are the posters who are very against this (as opposed to those who merely disagree) so without empathy?

Make it 1 Plat for 2 consecutive of logging on if 1 a day is such a huge amount. That would be 160 a year. Enough to buy a backpack expansion set and a couple of hotbar slots.

And let's face it many people would get the taste for the DEMON PLATINIM and then buy it and be as addicted to it as I am. which would help OTM. Why else would so many other games have similar reward programmes?

Anyone remember when OTM did a nice thing last year around the time of the Otherworld update, and gave plat buyers a percentage back of the total amount of plat they bought? For those who bought a lot, it was a nice gift of plat. Any chance they will do that again for the next major update?

I think that a 30 second ad for 1 plat is great! We get our play, they get their money. You have to pay to advertise. So otm will still make money when giving people their free platinum.

Great idea!!! +1. I think it should be something like watch a short clip or answer some questions or post something on facebook/twitter for 1 plat. Something like that would be great. Maybe you can do it once every 1-3 days, or even once a week would be ok.

As long as it isn't Tap Joy, as it gets very annoying after a while. Also, the option for daily free plat should be discreet, so it doens look too much like a commercial.
There should also be a limit of maybe 5 videos a day.

No tapjoy plz is annoying. Or any video will log you out the game .....


What about 2 plat per lvl after lvl 40 , or small chance of platinum mobs or regular mobs dropping 5 plat per kill in rare spawns.
