It's probably extreme but I block every player that asks me for money.
I have not had to unblock anyone yet.
Re: new players
#12I now tend to help people about level 40 and above. I've given away too much stuff to level 10 characters and had them quit, never to be seen again.
Re: new players
#13I have helped afew people, some say I created a monster from it. I helped a character when he was lvl 1, that character ended up being a lvl 145 jerk off who eventually quit do to being a public enemy of the world.
So just last week while training my alt on ymirs guards with my clan. A noob of lvl 19 tried to group... Long story short we let him in group, I gave him a super knowledge and he logged out lvl 39.
Never spoke to him again.
Kind of humorous

#14I try to do two things:
Offer advice, as in where to quest, where to go, inform them that their quest logs have the quests so they can RE-read them.
And I throw noob items at them, many just basic items that are always holding me down that drop off frostroots or even in DC. Throwing a noob item or even a tusk dagger at a noob rogue makes all the difference in the early going.

Re: new players
#15I still remember My first week playing this game. A player named redmartin, who i never see in danu anymore, just gave me an ancient broadsword for no reason. At the moment it felt like a gift from god lol. My noob warrior killed twice as fast and at that moment the game became fun. Later i realized the sword wasn't all that valuable. But had it not been for that one moment i wouldn't still be playing today. These days i also do not appreciate noobs begging in the castle any more than the next guy, but I still think its helping and giving that makes Danu grow. Getting a surprise gift makes all the farming and the grinding bearable for some new players who were about to move on to another game. I think more people on Danu will make the game more interesting for me.
