Great guide.

If I could add that you may need to change your approach, depending on your class (I can only speak for druids and mages)

Ways to maximise your gold drops (within the game rules)

- lvl 50-90 mage - max ur cloak of fire and run around the catacombs, everything dies as you run past, you can do about 10-20 enemy per minute (6000 gold/hr) - after 90 they wont run to you automatically, but you can still run close to them

- lvl 100-150 mage, if you have maxed firestorm you can kill the pigs (all of them at once) at northern road (my record is 8 in one hit) which gets you a lot of gold quickly

- any class over lvl 120 boss hunt, solo the smaller bosses and group for the stronger ones, set up a circuit of all the bosses, and keep going round

- druids lvl 50-90 - approach ppl for boss hunting groups (try to get in with groups 20 lvls higher than you) and youll get a good share of the gold

- sell your drops, cheap. dont hang on to them, sell them for 25-40% less than the normal price, and go get more.

- always sell your other stuff at lux trader if you can afford it, if not Mclir in the castle is next best

- lvl 50-80 youll start getting pages as drops. most just sell to trader for 18 gold. build up about 5 or so and target lvl 30-40 players in shalemont and offer them at 200-300 gold each, most will buy, specially if they can get 2 or 3 pages of the set they need

- keep some spare gold on hand. always seems easier to go from 20k to 30k gold rather than from 0-10k lol

most of that is really obvious, but if u picked up one or two hint, thats good :)

i dont like the idea of endless farming for low levels... My advice for low levels is : just grind and level.

I recently started a new character on Taranis... I'm not a very experienced player, nor am I new.
First thing I did was create a druid. Now, i'm level 45, if you want to make money, make a druid. Just level till 20 or so and you should have around 2000 Round Golden Circles in your STATS page ... Then, figure out the prices of items and remember them. Now get to a leystone in Stonevale & Shalemont and sit there looking at what people are selling. If you see something selling for a low price ( i.e. Sun Disc Frag for 2K ) buy it, or even ask for a lower price. Then, you change to a different area and you sell the item you bought for lets say 3K for the Sun Disc. Now you just made yourself 1K !

Tip : When you are merching, don't be afraid to make a loss, if you need the money, just take the loss.

Using this merching method, I spent 3-4 days doing the same thing and i have probably spent 40K on elixers, book of alts and other useless things :)

Also, I made a load of friends and mostly, they are rather high level. So, I would go out on boss runs with them.

This Article Is Only Useful To New Players.

I will not go in depth about how I merch, because I dont want to have too much competition :):)

LvL 45 Druid From Taranis ! - Don't rage if i merched ur items !
Hey i havnt seen you around im godzilla nice to meet you from Taranis as well, merching is the best way to make gold IMO you may not make alot in one go but over time it beats farming by far, first you have to find a buyer and seller so for eg(true story) a ranger was buying some drag discs and i saw someone selling them too, i ask ranger how much she buy for then she said 40k i said ok then i went to the seller and asked how much he sell he said 35k the 5k profit wasn't good enough then he said if u buy both of mine ill do 30k each so i said ok then i bought and resold them for 80k so ive just made a profit if 20k
Hehe that was me you bought em off and i got em off someone for 20k each hahaha

thank you for helping by adding more to the guide..... anyone is welcome to add their own opinion and ways..
You cant farm anymore (or is it just me) in the updated version.
are you talking about this version or the upcoming one? because in both version you can farm gold... i think what you meant to say was, "you cant AFK" :)

You missed a good source of income and that is choosing your vendors.

Anything sharp, swords, axes, daggers, the weapon smith in highshore village will give you the best price.
Anything blunt, clubs, hammers maces, the weapon smith in the castle by the banker
Bows the smuggler in the tavern
Spears, the merchant at the farm
Other, quigly so make sure to keep 20k in your pocket or you won't get in

Going to the wrong merchant can cost you as much as 30 gold on a spear. Get the most out of your hard work.
