Ranger don't all wanna be #1 dps/heal/tank. But some issues need to be addresed...

My defensive spikes are 39/30 im lv 149 high dex build and they do 60 dmg on mobs my lvl.... Is that supposed to b a joke?

Entangle should cast same like bolas to be effective long range fast cast time w quick cooldown 1 min cool down is so lame especialy if it misses 2 mins of nothing for 30/30 skill points rly? Unusualy long cooldown is the ranger greatest downfall.

Conceal.... Why can u make Mage energy boost overlap but not conceal? The 5 sec gap in conceal is anoying just enough time for me to get atked while standing there waiting for my group to decide to make a move on boss ultimately rendering usefulness pointless.

Why dont the new quivers not have any pierce????? They should hav at least as much as old lux shop, why? Because 12 pierce can b 12-84 dmg depending on str and 100 magic dmg is 100 magic dmg no matter what eventualy old lux quiv will do almost more dmg than the one that cost 2x as much just sad.

Another obvious question is why is every ranger combat skill based on a dex base and ranged combat ability except the best 2 rapid shot and bolas.

One other popular costumer complaint is where is our visible quiver already.

Finally why do connact flame arrows have an animation and not my lux quiv? All the other lux items have animation rangers get the shaft, no not the arrow shaft. Simply copy and paste this animation from connact arrows and render them diferent colors Depending on magic fire or ice.

Honestly if u spend 10 mins on the ranger page actualy reading it this is just a summery. So sick of the other 4 classes constently geting tweaked or asked for feedback by otm is it because we need so much work they don't even bother asking? Time for the 5th class ranger to start cramming our demands in their face like a neglected red-headed stepchild out for revenge.

I agree with many of these except the quiver one. 12 pierce dmg can never make it to 200 dmg. At 500 str its about seven dmg per pierce dmg so therefore you can get 84 dmg from having a very very strength centered build. To have consistent dex and vit to survive then you will probably be in the 250-350 strength range. Just giving you an idea. Currently the quiver are like the tridents. Maybe if u wanted you could ask for a non regening quiver that has higher dmg like the elemental blades but atm the quivers are plenty good for now.

+1 ranger moves are so broken because of their unusual cooldowns. I basically just wear my es armor and just auto until I need to light heal or bolas.

Some rangers don't seem to understand how good we truly have it .

Every class has issues and hopefully tom will address each class , but rangers are the most balanced and well rounded class in the game as of now .

Defensive spikes damage although not great is decent damage especially when used in conjunction with a mages assassins lure

Entangle is busted , they need to fix it

Conceal , I don't use and don't know about

Crystal gear has dex/foc , both beneficial to ranger , added energy at higher levels is needed , leave str to the rogues

The new quivers are awesome , I would hate if they took the dex away

Sure animations are nice but there are many more important things tom needs to fix first

My question is why give a Ranger class two skills that completely contradict each other?
Entangle was created to have the mob hit you less, but we also have defensive spikes that is suppose to do damage to a mob every time they hit you. No one is going to use both of those together which basically renders one skill or the other useless. I understand that there is not much you can do now to fix that accept maybe change how defensive spikes deal damage, but did no one realize this in the first place?

Secondly, conceal in my opinion is useless if you can not cast it again before it wears off and it takes longer that 45(or however long it lasts) seconds to kill a boss with adds around it what would be the point of using this skill? I mean yah you get a safe 45 seconds but the instant it wears off they attack you and yes you can use it again right after that, but they are already attacking you.

Thirdly, There is only two skills I primarily use being a H2H ranger due to the fact that I out dps most rogues my level. The skills I use are light heal and rapid shot. I do wish I could rapid shot with knucks equipped just like you can with a spear and a bow, but I have maxed rapid so that I am able to get more out of my rapid after switching to bow, applying rapid, then switching back to knucks and dagger.

Lastly, Ranger is not a bad class at all. It is designed very well for specialization. If you want to be a support class with high heals, decent spikes, entangle, bolas, and camo/conceal (good to use on druids) that is very easy to accomplish by maxing your dexterity. If want to deal a mass amount of damage over along time all you have to do is allocate points to strength and use rapid shot at whatever level you want depending on weapon. Also, If you want to be a hybrid you have that option too. The gear you can get adds so much dex if you get diamond armor - which is arguably better than frozen depending on what you are going for - and ice quiver, that you have ability to supply decent damage and supply great support. This class is highly dependent on gear, as with every other class, but by switching gear you are able to switch your focus. The reason I like rangers is because the class is not an easy one and it took time to figure out what I wanted to do with it, but once you do catch on, it is arguably one of the most fun classes to play with.
