From what I know:

0 - 49: Peasant
50 - 99: Commoner
100 - 299: Squire
300 - 499: Shieldbearer
500 - 799: Thane
800 - 1999 (approx.): Chieftain
2000 (approx.) - ?: Warchief

i think 3000+ is a new rank as nobody has 3k+ maybe general or battlesupervisor lol or king idk

Forum doesn't recognize 3000+, mdimarco complained that whenver he hits 3000 that the oldest 100 posts he made get fried and he is knocked down to 2900

The forum itself can recognize... admin has nearly 5000 posts, for example.

I think the marco thing was a fluke of timing. He happened to hit 3000 and the servers buggered up. He hit 3000 again and the servers were moved, losing several days worth of posts.

We need him to write another 15 posts to test it for us though

Naw. If you read this thread, for instance...(http://www.celtic-heroes.com/forum/view ... =5&t=23941) the OP is happy that he has been "promoted" from Shieldbearer to Thane.

You could probably think about Thanes as a landowning aristocracy, similar to Barons. So yes, it is logical that they would be above Shieldbearers, who would have been in the service of the Thane.
