I'm on Danu an are world keeps going down, wonder if this is a planed thing, update, etc

If its just ur world then to much stress was place on that particular server whether to many logged on or to many ppl did something at the same time that changed something in the actual server. Also a single player can at any time cause a complete server crash if they know how which is also a possibility.

I don't remember all the servers being down for reasons other than patches or updates. Not recently at least.

However, when I started playing, the servers were sometimes down, I think because the engine running the game was less effective (correct me if it's for some other reason), but I haven't had that for over a year.

My guess would be, that either you have bad connection, or that there is too much stress on your server. Or maybe there was a minor patch, and you didn't notice the message informing you.
