haha, i will find it somewhere i was reading an article on how much more likely someone is to die from gunshot than stabbing.
gunshot is also instant and requires less thought than stabbing someone so it is easier to do for someone who wouldn't be mentally capable of killing otherwise.

i guess my point is just that, guns are a tool and should only be available in an environment where they are needed. killing people does not count.

Good point pigman and I agree, however how can you give some people rights and others not the same rights? That is were it gets hard to control and monitor. And yes I'd be less likely to beat someone with a stick over pulling the trigger on a gun to protect myself or my property.

Possibly, more cows than people where I live. I do believe everyone who owns a gun should be required to attend a class to know how to handle a gun. I also belong to a youth shooting club that teaches us how to handle weapons. That includes rifles, shotguns, pistols, bow and muzzle loaders. Great program headed by very responsible safe people. I just dont understand why the mentality of this country is to restrict, remove, control or blame. Education, responsibility and HUMANITY need to be the main concern in this issue.
