so.... my mage is h2h ice mage, i needed other dmg (cuz my dmg gear is a bit weak) so i maxed cloak, but as an ice mage i wanna change it to something more useful
i thought about this

atm as solo mage im thinking about those skills
ice shards - maxed
lure of ice - maxed
e.boost+shield equal (10 pts each atm, no sigils and low regen)
and that means i'll get 20 more pts (more extra pts at later lvl)
since im solo i thought about maxing shield and boost or trying other lures
lure of fire might help some cuz of the solstice dmg (hopefull i'll get earthstone) but since h2h is crush i thought about lure of giants
but... how much does this lure help?

im not lvling or changing build untill i'll know this

information on my mage:
lvl 62
stats will be changed soon a bit
gear:
golden servity helm
lesser solstice bp and greaves
golden ice blade
heroic gloves and boots
greater solstice ammy (20 fire dmg and 20 magic dmg)
6 cold dmg brace
energy regen brace (the 100k one)
grand lure of ice and fire rings
fabled cloak
grand snow (+100 ice magic)


future build:
shards maxed
boost and shield equal\some pts more in boost(around 5)
all other skills to lures (most to ice, other to play with giants soldiers and assassins, maybe just assassins and soldiers if giants doesnt help)

Waaaaaayy overkill. And this is coming from someone whose only damage is ice shards. Half-max is as high as you need to go. Probably ever.

If you are dps (and you'd have to be at lvl 62), you will need cloak and some points in fire lure. Those fire lure points will help your heat dmg gear.

I'd recommend increasing shield and boost. Shield for those times the shards are evaded (way too many for me), and boost bc shards are an energy drain.

You didn't mention it here, but consider going for the Samhain armor. The shroud of spirits skills is cold damage and is helped by ice lure. It's got the long cooldown, but it does stack with cloak, so you get a nice bonus when you can cast it. Also means you'll need that shield.

When you start grouping, pierce lure is the first most important, then slash.

the most pts i can get for it is 3 pts from boots. need all other gear
actually i did my math as 4 skills maxed (20\20) which means 80 pts
i didnt mean to max lure actually only thought it'll be more useful than group lures atm
shards - maxed - 20 pts - 60 left
e.boost - half - 10 pts - 50 left
e.shield - half - 10 pts - 40 left
lure of ice - between half to max - 15 pts - 25 left

this was my thinking, so i thought doing this :
shards - maxed - 20 pts - 60 left
e.boost - equal with shield - 15 pts - 45 left
e.shield - equal with boost - 15 pts - 30 left
lure of ice - between half to max - 15 pts - 15 left
lure of giants+soldiers+assassins - equal - 5 pts each


but, by taking the advice of lure of ice on half and e.shield drains energy i thought this
shards - maxed - 20 pts - 60 left
e.boost - maxed - 20 pts - 40 left
e.shield - half - 10 pts - 30 left
lure of ice - half - 10 pts - 20 left
lure of giants - half - 10 pts - 10 left
lure of soliders+assassins - equal - 5 pts each - done


but also theres the fire dmg (some magic too but only 20 atm) from dmg gear which is 50 atm, i thought about lure of fire with 10 pts maybe instead of soldiers and assassins atm (group lures)
theres the lure of giants problem, dont know how much it help with h2h dmg (might split those pts to e.boost and shield or group lures)
and maybe doing e.boost 17 pts and shield 13 pts

my friend checked lure of giants, doesnt help when ur bare handed, anyone got anymore advices? i thought maybe to put skill like fire bolt or storm instead of cloak, doesnt seem like cloak helps me much
