To begin with:
Your clan is too large. Yes that is a bad thing.
The problem with too big clans is that you don't create a bond with existing members and neither do the members connect with each other. This connection of friendship is what holds a clan together. Obviously you failed at that.
Secondly your clan has too many guardians and generals. Yes this too is a bad thing. Too much guardians and generals lead to too much random members including scammers, spammers, and pedophiles. The clan leaders wouldn't have ANY control of the clan.
Here's an other little problem with too many guardians and generals. Getting promoted to guardian or general doesn't feel that special anymore because there is another gazillion of them. Go figure
All these things eventually cause players to loose interest and find more solid clans, clans that actually care for their members, rather than a gigantic population. Just like a little baby sucking on the better tit for nutritions, people will switch to a better clan.
In my opinion, your clan is failing and I wouldn't be proud of it if I owned it. I suggest you grab a few close friends and start a new clan. As those close friends get close friends, you get more members. Then make friends with those people. Get to know them, help them out, create that Bond! Make them feel bad to even think about leaving. The clan maybe small at first but it will be a Clan, a place where you can have fun and enjoy the damn game.

Hmmn. Well it sounds like you have never been in the clan. I see that you are attempting to make a few constructive points but your ideas are slathered in misstatements with a twist of snarky hautiness so I struggle to take anything you have to say seriously. However, I will be the better person and attempt to glean some wisdom from your whinging denouncement. That said, I must point out your misstatements and clarify some "Clan Build" points that must stay.
1. There are 3 Generals. I say that is sufficient to train and assist 1k+ members. By far not too many.
2. The elites are built right in. The lower levels are the training clan and the elites are just the higher levels. That is the build.
3. We are the second most powerful clan on the Gwydion server. We are only 1k away from the 1st (at the time of this post). This does not smack of failure to me.
4. We have a very solid Rapid Assessment BS Filter (RABSF) and actually benefit from so many members. We have so many eyes and ears in the game, both current members and ex-members who are still tight with their mother clan, that we can eject a spammer, scammer, or pedophile usually faster than a 150 level DPS Mage can kill a Scrawny Wolf. Think about that.
5. You may be on to something with the idea of having too many guardians, I will admit this is a sticky wicket but! (The big But!) is that if you look at the smaller Elite Clans with only 100 or so members and you look at their ranking you will see that what we are doing works. We are in 2nd by a handsome margin. Furthermore, I was a noob once too and when I was invited into Helter at 6th level and promoted to guardian shortly afterwards it was significant. I could recruit friends I met into my clan and make a "pod" if you will within the clan itself. My access to other clanmembers was vast and the clan was only at apx 400 members back then. I had clout and a modicum of autonomy within a large powerful clan. This is important for us to bestow upon the noobs. If you read between the lines on our Rules, you may notice that we want to attract people who are in the game to enjoy the game. We like noobs (to a degree). Not glory seeking bullies. Not power grabbing divas. I digress.
6. My teats are plenty nutritious and my clanmates sup from their copious bounty frequently. My right teat serves Sweet and my left teat serves Sour.
7. I can delete your post. It is my damn post and I am not beyond dropping the whole thread if it gets ugly.
If you were truly trying to give some pointers, well...most of your ideas are not what we're looking for. I do actually appreciate the time you spent responding. What I am seeking are new fresh ideas, not old grumbles that we at the top (the old helter members) have heard a thousand f'n times before. Everything you griped about has some validity but those grousings are older than my Grannies farts.
Perhaps you are not the sort of person that belongs in a Helter-like clan. Lucky for you their are smaller more intimate clans with no noobs and they to like to suck teats. Go to the online rankings and scroll down to the 10th or 11th most powerful clan and below and select from there?
