So whats the word about Aggra in Update 4? I do not recall Admin ever mentioning that Dragonscale armor quest items are dropping from it and that the loot is changing.
I think in general, there's an assumption that newer and much better and high lvl items will be released via monster loot and also via luxury, and a new end-boss (yes another dragon guarding hoard of treasures). Many players are selling their current luxury items, loots and such to cash out before the next update hits. It remains a mystery whether the Aggragoth loot continues to fall under a special category of items or would they be obsolete easily. Aggragoth weapons and items does in general provide the edge over other available equipments at the same lvl. (e.g. Compare Shadow trident with a Master Hammer / Master Axe / Master Sword. Stats bonus are the same, other bonuses differs but dmg and speed of weapon far surpasses.)
As for killing aggra, i think everyone's entitled to their preferred method of killing. Some with idols, some like to do it professionally. Some do it with less people, while others do with more. There's always a trade-off short-term and long-term for different approaches but they are indeed utilising currently available game mechanics and resources (albeit bought by real $$$$) to achieve their goals. Will they continue to invest 50 ~ 100 idols per fight for a chance at winning / getting an Aggra item? Probably not.
Should aggra be made tougher in update 4 just because level cap raises? I don't think it should and would not recommend it. It will just be another boss by then.
