Back on topic, I honestly don't believe we need more gun control, I believe we need more proper training in the handling and care of firearms.

An interesting side of the mass amounts of school shootings I found posted on John Noveske's facebook page days before he mysteriously died (i can't say how accurate the info is) points to almost every shooter we have had since columbine was on some form of mood altering prescription drug. I think factors like this should be looked into just as much as anything else.

I am mainly tired of people runnng around screaming "ermagerd, guns are the devil and people who have them are evil incarnate!"

yeah its not the guns that kill people. its the people holding them. Gun laws wont take guns away from criminals, BUT IF THEY DID... if you somehow take guns away from the psychopaths, they will pick up a knife. Take that away, and they'll pick up a fork. No matter what you do with guns, the nutjobs will still find a way to hurt people. AND as I said before, gun laws dont take guns away from criminals, they take em away from good, upstanding citizens.

As my brother said, if you take away the guns from the good people to defend themselves, then the bad people with illegal guns will rule.

Please don't sidetrack this thread with nonsense , go to another thread with that garbage Uzi and cheals .

The issue people seem to be missing , the op doesn't say outlaw guns , rip em from everyone's hands ! He says stricter gun laws , what I can't figure out is why any normal American would be against this , why would you fight to make it easier for criminals and bad people to have guns , why should an irresponsible person be allowed to have guns ?

If all gun owners treated their weapons with the respect they deserve there would be much less gun crime/violence in our country .

Don't get your panties in a bunch because people want it safer , we have had a ridiculous amount of school shootings , had the owners of those weapons used in the shootings been more responsible with them it may have saved some lives .
