someone told me today bthat the reason lure of fire does not work with incinerate is that the skill is in fact dealing magic damage. can anyone refute/confirm this for me?

It's labeled as fire magic , get your Mage with the nice lure let's test .

Lol i would slap your source fire dmg no doubt about it even questioning it was stupid because if your using incinerate chances are you are also using lure of fire with it so you should have seen the dmg increase. Incinerate works much like all other damaging spells sometimes it hits a little low and sometimes your hitting hard.

The confusion may have been with firestorm. Firestorm doesn't require any lure to function at full. My guess is the developers overlooked it because it's AOE and it would be hard to lure several mobs before you firestorm them.

After lots of experimenting w lures, it definitely does seem to be fire dmg. But i have never, even once, seen it heal lavalord.

Lol, only instant fire damage will heal Lava. Per ticks don't :-)
