Sorry , wasn't trying to correct you , just making a point about the gloves , some people don't realize how valuable they are for ranger .

You say you have a diamond bow, and 350 dex , and your sharp shot does double your auto. I will call bu11$hit on that. Yes maybe on lower levels when your not training its a awesome skill hit. Try training on mobs and that's not my experience at all. With a diamond now and 450 dex with sharp shot 30/30 it did very little more then my auto. And the damage varies so much most times it was the same as my auto. With the delay time casting it I fell better dps without sharp shot.

I've said this before but rangers are so fun because every skill has good uses at different times. We can debate for days about what's better. I recently. Tried spikes at ymir when we have a bad dps group and it did 60-80 damage which was awesome considering how fast they attack. So like i said everything has its uses.

also, alot of people hate on rapid shot but I like points in it. At the eyes it removes their icy glaze effect but only if u have like more then 5 pts in it.

I have full metoric except the bp would a dex build be good for that or stay at my dps. And crystals right sharp shot never hits that much higher than auto plus the delay to load up

The damage is instant with sharpshot , there is no delay but it seems to cause problems with next auto . With sharpshot at 43/35 with 530 dex my sharp does about double my auto , this really depends on what your damage is listed at and how much dex you have through equipment and base stats .

Your gear is fine for whatever build you go for .

Oh ok always felt like a little delay. And 530 dex if I tried that I'd have no points for anything else and sharp shot rings don't drop that much... Well I've never seen it drop. I think I have a little over 500 damage and no dex armour

Hey Eliminater, i have tried to find a build where sharp shot was good for training - and I really want to use it because i enjoy huge skill hits on lower levels. Can you please tell me to get double your auto damage, what is your sharp shot damage ( both listed in skills and what you hit for ). Is this damage on mobs your training on, or lower level mobs. I know your a high level so I'm not sure if your experience is with lvl 148 training mobs or if it was when you were a lower level. I love seeing the 1000+ damage listed in the sharp shot stat but am disappointed when it does 300-450 and my auto does 250-400. Once i get to 145ish i will def reskill to max sharp shop tho because it is a nice spell for stuff your level or below.

With 535 dex and 35/35 sharpshot the listed damage is 1414 , I wish listed damage took in to account rings and such but it doesn't . I am 6 levels higher than the closest mob to my level so I really can't test it for you on same level mobs . While leveling up I used sharpshot as a gap filler for rapid shot at level 1 . Meaning I would cast rapid use auto till it ran out and then use skills while it cooled down or for instance I cast lightheal I would then immediately use sharpshot so there wouldn't be a delay on damage and would not need to wait for next auto . I do not think it's meant to be used like rogue damage skills , expecting double damage than auto on xp mobs is not realistic , unless you xp with a Mage that has a nice assassins lure , I found sharp damage is awesome with lure up .

Its not like a rogue damage skill where it's meant to be way bigger than auto attacks but it is very useful as I described above . If you are expecting sharp to be double your auto , you will be disappointed .

I have gear to get sharpshot to 50/35 and it does insane damage with heavy dex but as for overall dps it won't compete with auto .
