Re: Against the rules ?

Agreed. I suppose a third possibility is that that guy just switched characters because he was scared (I told him both times that I had reported him... probably shouldn't have done that.)

No matter what, there was obvious interest from the support team, as they followed up for more information. Again, that was probably due to the way that I dealt with it. I sent both support tickets from Dersu. I should have probably sent the second from the alt account.

It was clear that they were investigating the chat logs, though.

The trading/buying/selling or sharing accounts is against our terms of service. Usually when I am looking into cases of attempted account selling/trading it's found that that player has engaged in that type of behavior in the past and then the investigation is placed up to a higher level as I then have to try and track down who it's been sold too or which accounts have traded through whos hands ect.

Sharing accounts is against our terms of service as I have stated when asked in support tickets and a few players have been sent warnings regarding this issue. The main problem that arises from account trading/selling/buying/sharing is that players and otm no longer know who is playing which account. As stated in our terms of service, any actions performed under your account name are your sole responsibility and therefore the defense of someone else logging into your account and breaking the rules, does not work.

If anyone is not sure of the rules then please feel free to PM me on the forums or send in a ticket in-game. I am here to help the players as much as I can. Investigating account issues and scammers can be slow due to the very nature of the offence but they are looked into and action will be taken if it is deemed to be needed.

Hope this cleared a few things up.
