Re: Declaration of War

There has been far to many words used on this issue. I attempted to clarify it, responded, and lay out a plan.

Since a unnamed player seems to have a different set of rules then the rest of Rhiannon we need to establish a new policy.

May I suggest that the two chieftains of the clan, with the advice of generals/guardians, make a pact between the two clans?

Agree to certain terms and agree to consequences should someone break these terms. :)
Exactly what I suggested in another thread and a post on here suggested something similar.
Okay, rather than getting even and escalating this problem, why don't we directly deal with it. This player who is protected by the forum rules should be spoken to, reminded of the rules, etc.

Breaking the rules would be considered an offence to eve, would it not? Then further actions may take place, accordingly.

This way, we can't complain of his immunity and nobody needs to worry about trouble. Why doesn't this happen? Someone please explain.

Wow talk about a circular argument.
I don't have anything to offer up as a compromise.
Arena is OPEN to killing and being killed.
If you decide you are gonna kill someone in the arena and prevent someone from getting their gladiator, its your choice.
BUT, if you do that, expect retaliation from the other clan!
Now put into this circumstance: eve clannie killing all ES he sees in arena...ES retaliates. Eve player rarely gets his gladi bc he didn't follow the unwritten rule and brought the fury of the other clan upon himself. That is as it should be!
You never saw, until the war declaration, any eves come help the player in question in mass, did you? No. Because we tell our clannies that they have the option to kill people in arena, but they on their own if they start being targeted!
Coming to the forums and complaining, then arguing, then calling out a war just because someone doesn't play the way you think they should is futile. We will never turn our backs on our clan members unless they break a rule. The player in question has broken no rule. He's managed to piss you all off. And if it were one of your guys doing it to us we'd be angry too. But we would realize that it's the devs who put this in place, THEY put the Gladies in the arena, heck even the quest itself warns you to watch your back when you go get him!
Our world has been able to be amiable about killing gladies, we all feel everyone is entitled to that free xp, so we take turns, allow others to get it, wait our 40 minutes and get him ourselves. But the devs knew this would create major conflict. Other worlds already have the problem/competition for gladie
Let's just get on with our fun game lives, most of us (in both clans are friends/friendly towards one another), let's get back to that.

Now. Where's HarryPotter!

Just questioning, what about if someone is on an ability elixer in the arena, training evasion abilities with their 2nd device, and a player comes over and continously kills both toons (the one on the elixer and the one casting skills), with no retaliation? Not even a word said, before or after.

Personally, I find that out of line. If you're killing someone that simply doesn't want to fight back (like a level 100+ killing a level 50- for no reason), some could class that as minor bullying. I usually feel that Arena is FFA but i stick to rules (unwritten or not), unless no one else is. In that case if everyone knows that they can do what they want in Arena, then people will expect to have to fight over Ragnor and it's fair game (as it is now to some extent). But if you leave everyone to it, you expect to be left to it in return, no?

In response to the Arena quest in General, I don't think it had the desired outcome. I'm pretty sure it was designed to get people into the arena and get people PvPing. It has done that to an extent, but not willingly. Many, many people only do Ragnor because it is the most rewarding quest in the game.. Their are no others like it. They don't do it because they want to go PvPing and their is no real reward (apart from Ragnor), for PvPing.

My suggestion to OTM is to make PvP mini games. 5-10-15 a side PvP mini games with rewards such as PvP based fashion items. That's what will get people willingly involved in PvP, keep them entertained and even settle feuds/grudges at the same time.

- Sorry Deuc, tell your boss you need an extra 5mins because Rap posted again.. I'm sure they'll understand. :?

Personally, I feel going into the Arena on lix is just plain daft. And to enforce that kind of thing, you'd have to examine everyone you targetted for everything that they had going? IDK, there's plenty of places around for ability training - doing it in the Arena is just... Well...
Personally, I find that out of line. If you're killing someone that simply doesn't want to fight back (like a level 100+ killing a level 50- for no reason), some could class that as minor bullying.
Agreed. Unless they've done something to provoke, or its pre-arranged (like, e.g., I sometimes duel clannies to test their dps, train against me, etc.) there is absolutely no way people should be hitting on others outside their PVP exp. One-shotting lower lvls that have done nothing is pointless and idiotic IM-not-so-HO.

Works true the other way, too. Some bunch of lvl 4s throwing stones at you while you're just hanging waiting on Raggy to show....... Actually, it is kinda fun to just sit and watch my auto slaughter them, but that's the psycho in me talking. Down, gal...!

Well, I'm a Carebear and proud. So sod PVP. The Arena is not one of my fave haunts!

Sorta what the Arena would be without Glads in it, really?

By minigames Alycia, what I mean is official minigames. For example:

You sign up for a special minigame that starts in x minutes. Their would be 2 teams, a Red team and a Blue team (just an example), A new map-like arena with towers either side. Each tower has a Blue or Red Flag. The Blue team must capture the Red teams Flag and get it back to their base and you get the idea.. With points earned for kills, flag captures, and even participating.

In terms of the Wisdom elixer.. It is the most beneficial way to increase the Willpower ability. Those evasion abilities are a nightmare to level and It is either that or use an extra 15-20 elixers and a lot more effort to get it maxed with a different method.

I can confirm that only 1 person killed me whilst on an ability elixer and I had used over 30 in there.. Everyone else left me to it and some even helped, so I thank all that left me to it and especially those that helped! (the whole community) :)
