Ahem, I have two announcements to make.

1. Phill has been made clan Guardian, in honour of his remarkable feat of being the first resident of Epona to hit level 90 (in addition to his tireless play, and other accomplishments and service to the clan). Also I have bestowed upon him our first clan title:

I dub thee, Sir Phill, Captain of the Guard.

I thought it was appropriate since he never sleeps. I have not yet figured out what his duties are, other than to stand there and take punishment from bosses and mobs, but we will figure that out over time.

2. Everunner has also been bestowed our 2 clan title, congratulations to our new Commander of TBW - Head of Clan Military Operations!!! In this role she will do her best to organize boss runs, and other missions that involve grouping or other team strategy. Since she has the full warden set, she will also do her best to distribute her extra discs fairly and equitably to clan members on a need/service basis. I will be giving her most/all of my excess discs to distribute.

I am also interested in creating several more ranks/titles to bestow on guardians and other members. Looking for input. Post suggestions in the Suggestion box s'il vous plait.

Thanks to you shag and your great work with the clan! We have already start thinking about a body guard to you... every king should have a bodyguard!

We guardians have talked about some new rules too. Now when eve saves the discs we need to have a system, right now we have guys who just jump over big parts of the game because they dont get the ancient armor before they get warden armor, some people not even got full redclaw before. We want people to be at least lvl 70 (not druids because they are the hardest class to train) and they should full ancient armor to deserve discs, other way they just miss a big part of the game and we want the clan to move forward. If they get a goal to leveling up we should make stronger players.

Another rule about bossfight is how they will be organized, every bossgroup should have a leader. Everunner is the mainleader of bossfights but if he is not in the group someone else, truely a guardian will taking the leadership. They will tell you how to plan and act.

All this things are all guardians agreed with.

Agreed.

We had a guardian meeting and decided we need more structure. Its not good if people with redclaw and such just skip a huge part of the game and go straight to warden. We have found a lot of people who should be training just running around the map and waiting for bosses. Their should be an incentive for them to train and get ancient armor, that way we become stronger as a clan and not just worry about discs all the time.

In short, we need to take the focus off of discs and put it back to training and interacting.

Glad to hear these meetings and promotions are happening with the higher levels. Having a Captain in a group talking to the lower levels about the fight that is about to take place is going to help everyone learn their own role in the fight at a much faster pace and be prepared for other fights in the future.

Don't worry about my other alts, once the Update hits, hopefully it would be easier to raise them by getting looked after by their big sisters!

Hello fellow Black Watch Members,

As most of you know, my presence has been pretty scarce since about the beginning of August. This has been for a variety of reasons, but mainly it's due to the incredible weather in my neck of the woods forcing me to lay down my device and get out to enjoy the fresh air before another school season begins. I also recently purchased a new vehicle (my first car!) and have been logging quite a few miles driving around my region.

Although I should be getting back online a bit more starting in September, I doubt that I will be able to log the kinds of lengthy sessions that I have put in in the past. I hope to be getting more substitute teaching days this first semester, and will also be working on the side and tutoring in the evenings to help with the payments for my aforementioned vehicle.

In light of this, I would like to try to come up with some sort of plan to 'democratize' TheBlackWatch to assist in decision making if I am unavailable. Essentially, I envision this a scheme where generals in the clan may be able to vote on whether or not to invite, promote, demote, or kick new members as well as vote on any other issues within the clan that need addressing. If anyone is reading this and would like to comment or suggest a mechanism to implement this, please do.

Although I started this clan way back in July of 2011, it really belongs to all of YOU, its membership. As such, I want to make sure that it is able to function well with OR without me. I wish I were able to play more often (like the old days) but, as always, real life must take priority and it seems my real life is gonna be busier than ever. I will be online later today to direct members to read this message and see what people think of it.
