This will be great for every server community and also vastly Enhance beta testing process....

A.We have representative (a face) of beta to ask how things are progressing in game.....rather than speculating on forums
B.Beta testers can openly discuss with a variety of classes and players within their world.....rather than just clan mates

Basically its beta testing for beta testers....

If a player wishes to disclose that they're in Beta they are free to do so, but we will not be supplying a list of testers, they are also under NDA and will not be allowed to discuss specifics of the Beta test at the start of Beta.

Mainly because OTM can read the chat logs and know who is spilling secrets, getting caught doing so kicks you out of beta. Its not worth it. After the beta ends, we can tell you anything, but till then its frankly none of your business.

Please respect the process. If yer in beta don't say anything, if yer not, then deal with it.

A Non Disclosure Agreement is signed by all the testers. It specifically says that if you say anything about the process of Beta during the beta..you are breaking the terms and will be kicked out of beta.

That's the deal. That's the law of Beta. If yer in it, yer sworn to secrecy. Last Beta had no NDA, they had only the Admin asking us please to not say much. But saying things didn't get you kicked out...

Beta this time is closed. Its Closed completely. I am sure its true, it will take a few stupid testers to get kicked before people really respect the process..but oh well, so be it.

But I have spent my entire Beta career trying to NOT create a dichotomy between testers and non-testers. I used to hate seeing Testers speak down to non-testers, be pretentious, or mean...it doesn't help the community at large ever.

That said...yer going way too far here. Beta Testers need to answer to each other and to OTM, no one else. You don't deserve any information at anytime. You as a non-tester simply need to have faith in the testers to work hard, do their best and try to get it all done as fast as possible so you can play the Update...other than that...back off. Please.

I believe OTM isn't giving out a list because people have the right to be secret about things. They don't need to say if they are in beta or not. OTM respects peoples privacy, so they will not compile a list for you. Simple.
