I'm gonna get people who disagree with me, but I'm an advocate of keeping xp the same, and getting rid of xp lix. People should be using skill to level up, not their credit apples. Level 180 is an epic level to reach. It should take an epic amount of effort to reach it. Right now theres a ton of people that I know that are a high level because they were given free lix, but don't know how to play their class because the lix and ymir guards sped them through everything they should have learned.

Yes, as you said disagree, and my disagreement is this, we need level 180 sooner than now because the new bosses will be higher level and that means we will need higher level to kill the bosses. If they tried it now they might get owned with level difference. If they level as slow as nuke girl and alexxxx do those bosses will never be killed. Higher level for higher level bosses.
I disagree with what you say, ofcourse we need an higher lvl to kill new bosses , but does it needs to go so fast tha we can kill the bosses after the update is out for only 1 month? I believe first aggy was killed in early august , that was 2 months after update .
When update hits people definitely gonne try the new bosses, even without the new max lvl.
And that is what it will make so much fun, we will have to cooperate, find new tactics, it will be a try and error but that is what makes it fun.
Doing a new boss for the first time can be so much fun, you won't know what will happen.

And what otm should do is when update hits , making it easier to get to 125, but after that it should be so hard as it is now (in amounts of xp)

I like how you said not a job, when i level, i feel like im working because leveling is not enjoyable at 120+
I disagree I love leveling . Especially with my clan mates , we joke around and have fun while leveling .
Will take around 1080 hrs to lvl solo with out elixirs to reach from 150 to 180 thats 45 days of 24 hrs. 90 days grinding 12 hrs 135 grinding 6 hrs Or 180 days grinding 3 hrs ....... If you spent 45 days of your life grinding senseless you need a life outside the game. And thats for a lvl 150 atm. For newbie lvl 1 will take 1 whole year playing 3 hrs a day.
Thank goodness this is a team game , cause these make believe numbers (probably close maybe) sure do suck.

The problem is this is a game not a job. To realistically lvl to 120+ without elixers you have to spend more time playing than is healthy for you mentally and physically. Sorry to say but people have lives outside the game and cant waste 4 hours a day starring at a screen. Stop making the game more impossible and focus on the players enjoyment while playing at all the levels.
You could always play a different game.
I have a 55 hour a week job, a wife to go home to and I still find time (maybe an hour a day if im lucky) to levels my guys up.
Suck it up and give it a go, or just stand in the castle and talk to people.

Did you read to what was the response ,if the same dinnamics of the game still in place. elixiring will take 90-110 hrs in a good group , 360 to 440 hrs in good group without elixirs .... And the amount i said before solo..... If they keep the same pattern so any heavy player playing 10hrs a day with elixirs. Could reach 180 in 10-15 days but i will not recommend any one to heavy grind the first 1-5 days because we know sometimes they adjust the game and last v3 was a wste u til they adjust it.

I have an idea...why not make gameplay interesting? Like we move around, dodge attacks, and all that, making it seem like a real battle to. Not just sitting there hours on end watching the same animation OVER AND OVER AND OVER again. This is what we do on this game like 80% of the time so it should be something that is fun and interactive to do at all times, even after playing it for hours straight.

Let's hope there are quests that provide decent xp; maybe even half a level. Just look back at the beginner quests that give you a high percentage of the required xp to level.
half a level is way too much, I would say a 10th of a level for a daily quest would be great.

No, if the games xp requirement remain the same then a half lvl xp will almost be essential to lvl up.

I'm glad you brought this issue up.

I think it is a problem for the game to just continue adding more and more levels. I think it is a major turnoff for new players, casual and hardcore alike.

The fun part about playing the game is the social aspect, imo. Stonevale was fun before the otherworld came out because it took a full group of people to kill a lot of the bosses. The same with the meteoric bosses. When the otherworld came out, almost all the community went to the otherworld. Stonevale became the place to farm gold and items. Consequently, the fun, group aspect in the stonevale and meteoric bosses was lost since a single person or small group can do them easily. This really reduces the quality of play for new comers going through the 50s-100s.

The same with the otherworld. It was fun when I leveled up because I had everyone else doing it with me. We grouped up for bosses and leveled together. Now, those people coming up through the stonevale and 100-120 content aren't having the same experience. In many instances it is much harder and much less fun for them. ( I understand this is a huge issue, but target lock alone will not solve it).

Look at it from a new player's perspective. Say I join the game once the next expo is released. The low level community is small and made of mostly kids. That person won't be able to participate in the group part of the game until 120+ unless they are a young player as well. There is not much incentive for that person to put in the hours to go through outdated content (content we finished with a few updates ago).

Why is it a problem that new players will have an enormous leveling task ahead of them?

People cycle in and out of the game. It is natural and nice to see new faces. When we had people cycle in and out in update 2, we saw new players get to our level in a matter of weeks. They were able to replace the people we lost. Now when we have people cycle in and out in this update, it takes new characters a few months to get to our level. This severely limits our recruits. If we get to the point where we lose higher lvl members quicker than the new recruits replace them, we have a problem.

My solution:
I think the amount of time spent by new players to reach the high end content should stay the same in each update. A person should not have to truck through old content at the same rate as when it came out. That means making the leveling through shalemont, stonevale, and the other world faster so new people can get in on the action quicker.

Otherwise I'll probably find myself saying I leveled in the other world back when it was fun.
