Re: Sheild of Bark...

Sheild of bark is a great skill, on boss runs (Aggy, pyrus) if a druid has bark maxed they could add 450-500 armor reducing the hits taken by then tank making it easier for druids to heal.
depends on gear, my bark can add up to 800+ armor on my regular support build.
i do not believe bark should make skill less interruptable as druids are quite strong already, the interrupting is actually one of the things making our class not being OP, as i believe it would be when we have for example a 48 (my) bark and barely get interrupted. as except taking low hits from the mob, it would also not affect my heals and buffs, therefor making druids OP against other classes. druids are already a necessity for any 100+ lvling group and certainly on any bosses.

Mine gives just over 700 and it makes no difference between 600 armour unless a rogue in earthstone is tanking. Thats my only noticable difference with armour. So i simply use a 46/30 bark and a 39/30 touch when warriors are tanking. Although my evades go up slightly with bark, but not enough to matter, it wont make any difference in a fight. Itll just give you maybe, 1 extra heal maybe, 1 extra skill, in later fights this isnt enough to win a fight.

evades do NOT go up with bark. only armor does. bark is for reg hits dmg decrease (works on some skills too such as pummel giant swing i believe).
so it does not do anything usefull if you cast on yourself insteaad maybe save u a couple idols cuz you take less dmg when an add finds your way.

Let me restate. Interrupts go down due to less damage done to the player. I just wrote the wrong word.

Just in case anyone wants to know, maxed bark gives about 850 Armor. Believe me when I say that it doesn't make that much of a difference.

If I had to choose bark or the appropriate ward for a tank I would prefer to have the ward. However Spitfire does not have a high armor and so 30/30 bark reduces damage considerably with mobs such as wyverns. The problem is that most tanks have pretty high armor stats already and the effect of higher armor is minimal after a certain point. Cast your bark on a level 50 and they will feel like a god!

Spitfire (Mage) 160

On roots comment , i was a solo fighting druid using roots to hold enemy in place. Lightning, vine, lightning then root again to kill my enemies i rarely had to face hand to hand combat. Roots is very useful when lvling this way. When i got to stonevale i then used book of alt to get rid of. I put skill points into embrace, vine, lightning n nature to solo there i use a boar totem ( should of up graded totem) n shield with bark n embrace cast i can solo most wisp, unicorns n a few druids. As i lvled i put more in vine n embrace for solo fighting. I am now lvl 99 . Ow is not best place for druid to solo tho. Team up with mage or warrior for best exp when starting there seems to go quicker. Smaller the group (2 or 3 including u) seems to do better less dying . Hope this helps . Dorn
