I have been on the ranger forums for a few months and I see the same posts over and over again. People want to know whats the best stats for their level. They get frustrated with their build and they wanna know whats the best build out there. They hear one person say dex, one person say str. For people who are looking for help Im sure your all very confused - more confused after reading the forums. Let me clear some things up about ranger stats and skills. I hope this helps all current and future rangers looking for stats help, and all the expert rangers that are posting what they think the best stats are.

Rangers are the #1 class IMHO because one 1 reason - there are so many ways to play! And trust me i have used at least 50 rebirths to try every combination. What will make you a better ranger you ask? What are the best stats and skills for ranger? Thats up to YOU. Its depends on your level, where you train, if you solo or group train, your lux items, your weapon quality, if your a plat buyer ( for pots, haste elix etc.) , if you log in to play for hours or log in to play for 15 min, and most importantly - how do you enjoy playing the game. And to be honest this all changed as your develop as a player.

So IF you need help with your build please keep all of that in mind and perhaps include that info when you post asking for advice.

I can say without a doubt that a str build is better with max bow ability and a awesome weapon - dex is better for using your skills like sharp shot if you don't have good gear. 1-100 a str build will help you solo faster and get the most experience and a dex build will help you group better and boss hunt. above level 100 you need to go dex and have no more then 300 str as you will be needing to use your skills a lot more and without dex you will miss too much. As far as the skills - every skill has a use, a purpose, a intention. Its something that only experience or a super good guide can try to teach you. It again depends on your the criteria set above.

Now to everyone that is posting on forums trying to help people - please keep in mind what your telling them to do in relation to what you DID, not what your DOING. If a level 60 asks for help on a str build and your level 140 and telling them to go all dex and do this skill and that skill its NOT helpful to the level 60 player. The level 60 player then rebirths and says oh shoot this may be better or it may be worse but its not really the best thing at their level!For someone with a str build at level 90 to max sharp shot its a waste with good gear but for a level 40 or a level 140 its good to max sharp shot. What we get is a bunch of people who say completely opposite things to do and players who get very confused.

Good post! It is definitely tough to find a build you are completely satisfied with but that is what happens with such a dynamic class.

Okay I would like to state 1 simple fact. If you dont want to use a rebirth then why shouldnt there be a build for all levels? Answer: There is. My advice would be to go dex build- by level 100 one will have 105 strength and about 205 dex. Then as you increase in level switch it so by level 150 you have 205 strength and 255 dex- without any lux added. Much easier and a balanced build that way. Dex is great for leveling at any level, esp. solo.

Decent point about the skills. It requires someone who knows what to use to indeed give that information. Str or dex build? I can give you some skill knowledge on how to best benefit from those skill points, as should many a ranger. As you said before though rangers do different things for different play styles. The ranger next to me might rely on bolas with only 1k health, and dies alot in ow due to the ranged spell attacks. Whereas I tank through things with no bolas and die rarely. That said it depends on the play style of people.

I wouldnt say its a rant, its common sense. And yes I hope more rangers continue to post advice as well.

Honestly I think if you want to be the best ranger you can be, figure it out on your own .

Sure there are a few points on forums you could gleam and take away a tip here and there but honestly the game is much more fun if you play with trial and error . I know what my very best build is ie most useful to my clan , because I tried countless builds. I know what skills are best because I've tried them all aside from camo/conceal because I have charms and have never used them .

I consider myself an expert on ranger but so do many others and I bet we all have different stats/skills , it doesn't make any one of us better than others but I bet most of the self thought experts have trial and error in common , I bet they didn't just do what was written on forum by myself or others.

Best way is to take a little bit from everyone and then combine it the way you like it with trial and error.

my biggest issue is that trial and error is expensive lol. If I'm ever fabulously rich, I'll buy like 20 rebriths, and keep playing with em back and forth untill i percect my stats. but as is, I have to think long and hard about where I want my stats, buy one rebirth, and set my stats in stone for a while. I can't afford to buy a ton of rebirths.

Wow... Seriously guys... There is no best build -.- Stop recommending! Any and EVERY build has its Pros and Cons. Not just with rangers but also for every other class. The only way to know the "BEST BUILD" is by experience... Know what you want and do it! Dont go around in the forums recommending Stats ans Skills or asking for them. "BEST" could mean anything. Best Tank Build. Best DPS Build. Best Support Build. So many different combinations too! It ALL depends on how you play and how u WANT to play. Just like how some people might like 2Handed weapons while some prefers 1Handed weapons... How some might prefer Sniper over SMG... How some might prefer Speed over Damage... How some might prefer High or Low sensitivity... ITS ALL YOUR OPINION!!! The beauty of a game is its FREEDOM! Feel free to choose whatever you want. Dont listen to recommendations or ask for them. If people have no real idea what things are and want someone to explain it to them, its the more experienced players who must give it. Yes there are many idfferent builds, some of us like one thing more than another. Some people just want some advice or a hint or a clue. I have helped more than 1 person with their build and all have thanked me for it and have gone on to be very happy. If you dont want advice you dont have to ask for it or read it. But for those that do, I and those who are more experienced will help them.

in my opinion it would be best to have dex most of the time, it is the true ranger build
