Brooke, I know you kept saying minor bosses. But really, it's either you are a tank or not. I, as a warrior, can and have won dps fights on smaller bosses. Do I claim to be a dps? No. We have rogues in the clan that tanked bosses too, but we don't see them as tanks.

I didn't say you suck. I said you need better gear. Is yours maxed no! No where near that's my point. Yet you said you get some kills so with max gear you would get all.

Do I want the top hit? Nar means nothing I ha it at 1 point but haven't even maxed spear skill. What rogue in there right mind would atch use a spear for dps. Yet that is how you get max skill hits. Housecat on our server is second best dps rogue on our server but there are people above him in skill hits. Your just trying to get a reaction as you know this. Rogues should be top dps it's all we got and it's all we want. Yet we are not.


Aileron I don't believe there should be a set build for anyone. I do believe there should be some serious disadvantages when you go that build with the class that is not ment for it. Druid should never get kill IMO. Yet he got kill with a very decent rogue. Also I said minor bosses twice and you have chose to ignore that fact. Oww well never mind.

oni ive seen ur gear, fire bolt and ice shards impressive, but how bout incinerate and (lots of times underestamated) firestorm? also get a focus offhand cuz the fireblade is no good for mages. might think it adds something but its rather useless.

brookie rogues should have other option then dps, just like warrior is tank but can be dps, even tho its nerfed dps. mage can be extremely good support, and extremely good dps. druids can be epic support, and apparently decent dps, but have to throw out all other things if u wish to be dps. so are druids OP cuz they can be support and dps? no cuz they have to choose and wont get kills unless they throw away all other intensions.

If ONI is using earthstone then he doesn't know his class at all. Go for a pure dps int Mage. Incin and firebolt main skills with shards next and then firestorm just as a hit filler I garentee you would get kill having a good support Mage there.

Aileron you can be a tank or not... No lmao I use to tank stonelord for my clan. Why? Cause main tanks was not on and I kept agro pretty well. But yet I was still best dps in server(at that point) your fair too 1 minded in thinking. Think everything is clear cut when clearly this post proves you wrong. You can say Druids shouldn't be dps as they are better as healers. That's for your!!! YOUR clan. Doesn't mean that's for everyone's clan does it?. Personally yrck has joined his old leader amna in revenge and they need dps so it's probs better for him to be dps as they will try to compete for bosses. Yes for most clans Druids are best as a support. I personally think they shouldn't have the option to be good at dps. It makes the rogue class pointless. As a class we arnt top dps. We suck at supporting. No good at tanking unless its a minor boss with no adds to control so rogues are underpowered. Every other class has a good roll. Warriors-tank. Rangers-add control,solo,support skills. Druid-healers,buffers. Mage-Energy regen,currently best dps,amazing non-direct dps, rogues-decent dps.....

i played a druid in marathdamane for a while in morrigan, seen him camping falg a lot. he uses fireblade offhand -.-
he has fire bolt 50 and ice shard 47 or 58
not sure on incin but his fire lure is decent, not what a dps should have tho.

best dps for mages is all dps skills maxed (fire bolt, incin, shards, firestorm) with rest points on sacrifice or energy boost, and gear max focus.
oni uses dmg helm and offhand -.- useless. with grimoire and wizardry crown hed outdps many.

You sound like a know it all now . So onis gear is the gear your noob character saw him wear at fal spawn eh ? I bet ONI only has that one setup your noob saw him with fal that sounds rite...

Earthstone, dmg helm, fireblade? I do use all those.... On my rogue.

Once again you guys keep talking about and talking down other people based on what gear you assume they have when you have no clue about them. Brookie even says people suck then denies it, in the very same thread.

Brookie i've heard you've rebirthed for previous aggy fights with about 100 Vit.. You must be loading the stat points into Strength as I'm almost certain a 300 Strength, 100 Vit, 500 Dex build with a maxed Poison Weapon and Smoke Bomb (if someone else is not already casting) would top the Mages and Druids DPS.. As I've said in a previous post, I still see Rogues getting 75%+ kills. Maybe you don't know your class as well as you think you do, and it's down to the build, not the gear.

In terms of gear though, Brookie you also said you know what gear I had and yours was better (which is false, you went by what I posted in a topic on Rogues forums, but we said nothing about when fighting Aggragoth). Radiant Attack Rings might be better for taking Aggy, but do they compare to Aggy Dmg rings on anything but? Nah.

I don't think Rogues actually need THAT much of a boost, but I do believe they should still be the top DPS class by a little way. I think a simple fix would be to nullify the Strength plateau, increase damage done through skills and reduce the energy cost.

well since it was falg and marath was camping too, i assumed he would use best DPS gear to win a ks battle. just plain logic ya know

i always thought dex was underrated for rogues. when i gave my 115 rogue some dex i noticed a huge increase in dps, so i wondered why brookie did not use dex in his builds. i think the build you suggested should be little less dex and more str tho, like 400-500 str with 200-300 dex. but its been a long time since i played a full geared high lvl rogue so i wouldnt know for sure.

as for a boost on rogues, i say why? rogues win almost every boss fight and only way i can overtake them is if there is a good magic lure available, wich no one uses almost. without a magic lure i dont outdps any 150+ rogues on any boss.
