I know I have seen posts about this subject before, but since it was last year, I thought I would give it a shot and ask about it again. Maybe now, there is a way to best describe the star system in relation to level of a mob or boss.

So more stars = better chance of good loot for that level's needs

So more stars = generally more xp

I think it also indicates how difficult a mob is for that level. So,

1 star - easy solo
2 star - medium solo
3 star - hard solo/easy group
4 star - very hard solo / medium group
5 star - hard group
6 star - very hard group

That's a very basic outline but you may get the idea
