I see the rumor mongers are hard at work again and since I do not know for sure all of the finite details of who, when and where I can only state my own facts and what I know before this whole thing gets completely exaggerated, I.e. me getting paid to join new clans, which in it's own right was a good laugh at the time. Since no one actually messages me for any fact finding, lets just air the dirty laundry right now.
First and foremost, I personally found out about the "new" clan two days ago, from one of the "loyal" members you gave a shout out to above, who was asking if I would be interested in joining, it was definitely not two months ago. I would be careful who you consider loyal when they secretly worked behind the scenes to help orchestrate some of the movement from clan to clan in the last few days.
I was asked to come in and help out and that is what I did. Unfortunately I spent most of my time in the last month trying to play internal peace keeper, chasing around pissed off clannies asking them not to go elsewhere, instead of actually playing the game myself. As stated so many times before, it is a game, I play for fun, period. When the game turns into a second job, I look for something else to do. I caught wind of not just one, but several people who were leaving because of how things were going and realized the little snowball was quickly turning into an avalanche. It was not two months ago, it was two days ago and the clan from my understanding was first discussed two weeks ago, but came together very quickly.
Unfortunately, no matter how hard I try, some people refuse to see this thing for what it is, a piece of entertainment. People come and people go, it's the nature of the beast and a part of life, even within the digital walls we play it in here, people's emotions can get the best of them.
I took a look at the clan list tonight and it is made up of a wide variety of not just high level, but also very solid, well known people from the top clans within all of Gwydion, not just one. That alone speaks volumes, not just about one clan and how a few people left, but how a bunch of people from many clans left theirs to quickly form the core of this one. I can not speak directly on their behalf, but I think the fact they left in the first place says a lot now...dont you?
My decision to respond here is my own, no one asked me to reply, no one paid me and no matter what happens in this GAME, I refuse to HATE anyone over a video game. I have friends here, I think about the game at times, even when not playing, but I refuse to let it dominate me or my emotions. I only ask one thing from my fellow players, if you do not hear it from me personally, then don't always believe what you hear from others.
One final thing, for the official record and specifically to the two former clannies who accused me of ruining the entire server and making the game no fun anymore...if you really think I single handedly did all this, you should really find a new game to play, you are completely delusional. I orchestrated and am responsible for nothing more than moving myself and my wife to a new clan, nothing more, nothing less. If making me out to be the bad guy makes you feel better, then so be it...see you in game...maybe.
