Back in Update 2 I farmed a lot because I noticed a huge difference between people who had heroics and didnt. So I farmed a good 2 weeks and got me a heroic rejuv, haste gloves, and the carnage axe. I got all of this around lvl 50. And from then on I shot up in lvls. Hit 90 within next 2 weeks even tho top lvl mob was like 80. I then preceded to make a lvl 96 rogue alt who became my main afterwards. I suggest lvling as your farming. Seems to pass the time. A lot.

Money problems suck and getting money is really hard. I'm not gonna sugar coat it. There is no practical method for getting gold. Especially at lvl 35.
You gotta rely on luck while killing big bosses to get drops to sell for lots of money. Gold farming is pretty ineffective. Gold farming for an hour will make you a few thousand gold at most while lux items cost so much more.

I amassed over 200k without spending plat. I never had that much at one time though.
The most I had at one time was 105k, which I spent on a bodkin.

You can only start getting money more effectively after spending more money. Get lots of good equipment and you'll be invited to more boss groups.
Plus, you can farm better.

But all in all, there needs to be better ways to aggregate cash.
Crafting and other future activities (like perhaps fishing?) should help money come in easier.

I fervently hope not :)

Coming from someone who's pretty much in the same boat as you Anglzfury, and the OP: don't forget that Someone has to pay for the light fixtures at OTM :) Money making Is hard, and should be, for this kind of game. Otherwise, there won't be that much of an incentive to actually Pay OTM once in a while for this game.

As for the OP, once you hit OW and can really hunt there, money should trickle in at a faster pace (compared to pre-OW). Get into a boss hunting group, and even start one yourself.

Ah, I see what you're saying.
But with the current difficulty of gathering cash, more casual players can't enjoy the game as much.
Tell me, when was the last time you used meditate and had to wait about a minute to kill another mob?
And as Blaze said, luxury items are really a necessity for the game now.

Last night :)?

I have a plethora of alts, and sometimes I'm too lazy to move my lux (only have one heroic ammy lol) so I have a L34ish warrior who has to rest a quite bit after killing a Taster (L35**) for the pie quest.

Like I said, I know where you're coming from. I didn't get my heroic ammy until L63ish, and that was with a 50K gift from a friend (earned the rest by having all classes to 50 lol). I just earned enough to buy a severity helm last weekend; that's still about 5 - 10K a gaming session When I do play.

You want things faster, you can always Buy plats (or IG money outright).
