Re: how many sigils?

#13
As far as a support build i bought 400 sigals and never had a energy problem. Now that i dabble in dps occaisionaly and solo lvled alot on druid i bumped him up to over 800 and i do fine in both builds. I only have masters book offhand for regen as far as lux goes and never have a problem. But if you gonna rock support mainly 300-400 energy sigals should be alright imo.

I have a level 152 full support druid and a level 144 dps druid on Epona. Sigils are an extremely useful tool, but for those of us who choose not to spend much real life money on the game for sigils alone, I'd like to offer some suggestions :) For background information, my 152 druid has probably 30 sigils and my 144 druid has none. I didn't use any sigils at all until I was level 120.

Certain skills have higher energy costs and durations. For example, at 20 points shield of bark costs more energy than abundance at 20 points. Shield of bark lasts 2 minutes and abundance lasts 3 minutes. With the strategy of extending my energy life, I have chosen to max abundance, and my shield of bark is only 6 points (5 from a bracelet). I love teaming with other druids in boss fights that specialize in bark, while I specialize in abundance.

Also, each cast of natures embrace costs as much energy as each cast of natures touch at the same level. Natures embrace only lasts for 45 seconds, so repeated casting is necessary. Again, with the strategy of extending my energy life, while maintaining effectiveness in healing, I keep my embrace at 17 points so it ticks just over 100 hp. This is sufficient for when I am solo druid in bosses and for helping dps members of a boss group who may get hit by area attacks/lava.

I make sure that my combination of skills I choose to specialize in compliment one another and present the most effective solution when healing. I change rings depending on the boss, or where I am training. I will be fair to say that after about 45 of intense training, my energy is low and I need to break.

Regarding my dps druid, she has max shield of bark, vines, lightning strike, and natures touch. She has a more difficult time with energy in boss fights, so she has 20 points in meditate to compensate. Unfortunately, she is only useful for 15 minutes casting those skills before she runs out and needs to meditate while casting only natures touch and shield of bark.

So, hopefully, this post will spark some ideas and people can begin thinking of ways to build their druids if they are having energy issues.

Take care, and have fun everyone!

I have 38 sigils (for a total of 40 out of combat energy regen per tick) and I do fine with energy. I noticed that a few posters on this thread have no energy regen gear except for the Master's Grimoire (likely more for the focus boost than the 15 energy regen). Let me lay out an alternate solution to energy problems in the form of energy regen gear.

I typically wear the following items-
Divine Broom of Witchcraft: 40 energy per tick
Heroic Amulet: 20 energy per tick
Golden Crown of Energy: 15 energy per tick
Revenant Bracelet of Energy: 10 energy per tick

This adds up to an additional 85 energy per tick. I also have the option of equipping an energy regen ring (+5) and another Revenant Bracelet of Energy (+10) because I have one of the old ones with the 150 Health bonus, in addition to a regular one. This combination provides a total of 100 energy per tick. I, along with many others, prefer to put a skill ring on in lieu of the energy ring, and I usually only wear one energy bracelet.

If you do not have a Divine Broom of Witchcraft (which cost 1 million gold during 2012 Samhain), the following offhands may be recommended:
Golden Orb: 25 regen per tick
Master's Grimoire: 15 regen per tick
Golden Trident or Golden Dagger: 15 regen per tick

Heroic Amulet, Golden Crown, and Bracelet provide 45 energy per tick. With a Golden Orb added, you can have 70 per tick regen. With a Master's Grimoire, this setup would provide 60 per tick regen. All of this gear may be expensive, but it is a viable alternative for those who have not yet obtained many sigils.

im still looking to get some health sigils if i have leftover plat not used for idols, pots, energys sigils or elixers. yet health sigils should not be bought, except if you have over 250 (the amount needed or a regular build of approx 35 points on most skills, with some being in the 35-44 range) energy sigils. then a max of 50-100 health sigils would do the trick on lava. dont need more then that.

My health sigils are used in boss fights, i never need to heal myself, i take a hit and in 7 seconds im full again. I can focus on keeping the group full like a good druid should do.
