Target Lock does not affect game play that much, truly. People are over-reacting. They act as if the game is turning into a carebear game. But it really is nothing of the sort.

Can't say this until its tested in a competitive way which is nearly impossible in beta. Doesnt affect much when ur killing mobs or just one clan.

I support the OP and target lock. I hate seeing lower level players get griefed out of either ignorance or meanness. I've played MMOs with target lock and in my opinion it's a good thing.

Kill stealing, in my opinion, is not competition and is not good mannered. However, "free for all" is determined by the majority. If the majority of the server is in agreement with ffa on bosses and etc, there is unfortunately nothing that can be done as such activities are meant to be left up to the server as a whole. As for my position on target lock (mentioned on another topic):

In my opinion, you have to wait and actually see how the new target lock will affect us. I know there has been other mmos that have made similar adjustments to the "lock" on a mob but Celtic Heroes is a different game with its own mobs and bosses that function differently than other mmos. You can predict what may happen, but you honestly have to wait and see what happens on the live game. I am sure target lock can just as easily be taken out if there are truly problems in the live game that negatively impact all players.

That position will not change until the update comes and I experience it for myself.

What if you're bossing, and say you're dps ranger with only 1k health on say, aggy. You attack first. Now you're completly screwed

That's not the reason why people are against. The way it is now is that one clan can control everything by making players go through them for important things. If a player or group of players get big or become influential, then the are bought out, or invited to join controlling clan. If this system works out and puts the power back to the game then the clans will not have monopolizing capabilities. Then it becomes more to where it is up to the individual to succeed or fail.

Most dont even realize what KS is. Most think its when you lose a fight. If you saw the boss first, doesnt make it yours. To me KS is seeing a group of 80s trying to kill falgren. Then my Little OP dps ass walks in as a lvl 157 at 80% and pretty much takes kill. That's KS. Not really right. But its not "wrong" either. Its on the line. They are trying to make themselves better. And So am I. Dont get me wrong, Thats totally mean. Ehhh depends on what kind of mood I am. I mean if Im at the boss at the begining and I know I can have a shot of winning, Ima try. Its called compitition. But if a grounds going smooth then Ill leave be. Maybe watch to see if they fail.

Now on Aggy. Ill straight up KS all day everyday. Still my clans only one to get on Morrigan server, Ill still take it if the other clan wants to be kind and tank for me. Lol. They lack in dps. No earthstone, no aggy gear, they all use frozen acting as thats the best dps gear other then earthstone when its not. They don't have much of a chance. Kill stealing I dont really have much against. It happens. Theres always a loser. Everyone cant win. Best team usually wins.

Kill steal is 20-30% imo

Some bosses are fair game completely though.
