I am sorry if I am giving the wrong impression of being support. In my opinion, support is an excellent role and is incredibly useful for bosses. The point I was making is that an added role to Mages does not mean they can no longer be tied with rogues for dps. I just do not believe that Mage dps should be lower than a Rogues due to a Mage getting a new role in update 3. I also indicated that one day, OTM may add another role to Rogues. That does not mean they should no longer be tied with Mages for top dps. Is it more clear now?I don't understand why mages are complaining that they can CHOOSE between two different roles. They never took away the ability for mages to become dps. They still can and do a great job at it. But just because you want to be full dps doesn't mean every other Mage has to be dps also. Consider the fact that being full dps requires lots of sigils. Some mages can't afford to spend lots of sigils on a character so hence they choose the path of support. There's nothing wrong with being support. You make it sound like its the worst thing that ever happened to mages. You never know what OTM has planned. Maybe there will be an addition of poison bombs.Well I dont see any other classes doing it. Lures make sence. Spell makin others weaker. What are rogues gonna have poison bombs to make them weaker to other resistances? Lol no. I played during update 2. Mages had fire and ice lure I do believe. The ice and fire lures, in my opinion, does not really constitute the Mage class to support. The lures are necessary to achieve maximum damage from ice and fire skills. I'm not saying lures do not "make sense" but it wasn't really in the general scheme of most of this game. It appears like people are using lures as a way of taking away the idea that Mages can be great dps. I know it could have been predicted but gaining a more active support role in update 3 was "not what I signed up for."
