As the title says how badly wounded are mages? Like seriously we may be all powerful but a iceshards at 30/30 costs what over 200+ energy?!! Thats rediculous considering the most regan I counted is like around 90 energy per tick! Firebolt is also very costly at around 100-150. Please state on a scale of 1-10 how broken of a class we are 1 being not even close 10 being shattered like a 10metre by 10metre peice of ice being hit by a 10 tonne wrecking ball. Personally i think we are 8.

Maybe its just me,but mages are perfect imo.
Just need to use boost when ready and i can cast all the way.
Tho we have low armor :/
And yeah,my bolt costs 168 energy... But boost makes up for that
1 to 10 if mage is broken i give a 2 1/2

i think they have major energy problems, but in exchange for being the most powerful class
btw: dont forget energy shield (for those who use it) also takes up a crapload of energy

The only broken thing about mages is energy and there are fixes for that. Depending on my build of the day I can do just about anything I set out to do.

Thats not to say we don't have problems but there are fixes for all of them.

Energy problems?
2 spells, sigils, pots and you could always hang out in the tavern after every kill.

I say 2 1/2 is about right. Only because it's such and expensive class. Not for lack of playability.

I do not really think we are a broken class,
but it can be expensive to have an effective mage.
There are a couple of skills that need to be looked at, though.
Firestorm is not effected by lure and, at the moment, freeze is just about useless.
However, this seems to be the case with some Of the skills for other classes also.
Ex. Entangle, spring of life, some rogue skills, ect.
So if mage is broken I would have to agree with Dutch/ToFat on a scale of 1-10 about 2.5
I love my mage even with high energy costs
Note: My mage is only 98 so i may not have really experienced the energy problems higher lvl mages have.
(Dutch/ToFat is 140+ but he has a broom and like 2 rows of regens)

Energy shield is a whole crazy lot, but worth the skill points, because its great for soloing(until your maxed energy boost doesn't work good enough)

No i dont have broom with regen. Im using mountian shield and aggra book
Also heroic ammy and the bracelet are my only regens.

Only issue i have is i can only kill as fast as recast time on energy shield my regen is fine my dps is fine
If i could change one thing on mage it would be to half the cooldown on energy shield and i could run wild just like the good old days in dustwither

Dude no offense, but if yr calling a 8 out of 10 due to Iceshards being 200+ energy. I will have to announce u mages are so lucky to have energy cost reduced as poor druids storm touch is at FreaKing 400!!!
That will make Druid being broken on a scale of 20 out of 10
