Hi all,

Has anyone else besides our world noticed that warriors seem to get an inordinate amount of item drops from bosses? I gotta say that with my warrior tank I get way more items then with my other characters and I took an informal survey and others agreed. If it is not true, that is certainly a common perception. We know perceptions are essentially truths till disproven

1. Can I ask that you check on that formula to be sure it is truly random and doesnt favor a particular style or characteristic.

2. Can you explain the variable that go into the formula to determine who gets the drop.

The current rumor is that if you get really close to the boss, your chance improves. This leads to people crowding the boss and makes it difficult to target locate sometimes. Especially when you are trying to Root. Can you definitely say this is not true?

The other rumor is that amount of damage dealt affects who gets the drop. Can you also definitely disprove this. Certainly there are times when the Druid gets the item, but perhaps their heal(s) count towards the number like damage.

NOTE: clearly there are times when other classes get the drop. This only pertains to something being percieved as slanted in favor of the tank.

I rarely get stuff on my warrior lol. I find Druids get quite a few drops.

I am pretty sure i have read in a past topic, drops are evenly distributed in the group. Obviously, the group that does the most dmg is the group that receives the drops.

I seldom get drop as a rogue. That is because I always use hide and the bosses could not see me to give me their items.

It's usually the person who joined the group just before the end of the fight who gets the drop! Or the guy who just stands there and let's everyone else do all the hard work!

It's random dude. If a boss drops one item... You have to kill six bosses with a group of six to get one. Since its random... Might take u ten bosses. As for warriors getting more... Warriors outnumber other classes in game substantially so yes they end up getting more. As for low levels getting drop... You just notice this because it annoys the hell out of everyone. When the high level gets it, no one thinks twice about it. Solution... Solo bosses and you'll get the drop, lol.
