Re: Locking Target
#11This idea is flawed at best. The ksing is a function of over crowding and more importantly not having restrictions on where low-levels can go. A level 50 fighting level 80 mobs in stonevale is going to be ksed easily. But level 50's should be leveling at the castle in the ravine, not in stonevale. I'm not saying they shouldn't go to stonevale because the quests there are good and a level fifty can solo most of them. However, leveling should be done in appropriate areas. Most ppl. Don't ks mobs, typically when it happens to a druid it is because the Druid is casting vines and someone doesn't realize that they are attacking and runs in for the kill. It isn't done on purpose. When it is, it is usually by someone who doesn't like you. Part of the game is the challenge of working with others, so get over that. As for bosses... On Sulis where I play there are so many high level players that clans actually post spotters for the bosses. Literally have ppl. Sit for two hours just waiting for spawns. Typically when they spawn, three or four clans have ppl. Waiting and everyone feels for some reason that the boss belongs to them. Each of our clans has players who can stay alive against any boss while they wait for others to arrive, so I disagree with the locking on a kill. For instance this would actually benefit me because I can solo most, if not all, the bosses, so I could just attack all the bosses the second they pop up and prevent a group of six that has been waiting their from attacking. The ONLY good solution to ksing is more space and more bosses. It is a function of overcrowding not game mechanics.
