I imagine pvp in a team v team setting.
And while I agree, howling wind is a nice debuff, it's single target. I mean obviously, there are no AoE's(Area of Effect), but in a team v team ideal...A team of rangers is going to shred any other class set up, just due to bolas on rogues/warriors and dps interrupt on heals/nukes.
It seems likely for that reason HoTs(Heals over Time) and DoTs (Damage over Time)will be the things to use vs rangers most likely. But I see people going vitality heavy in their pvp builds nonetheless.
A quicker bow will probably be the pvp ideal for that very reason.
I am guessing they are going to have to make bolas, roots and all abilities somehow resistible in pvp, so that there are no foregone conclusions.
I hope they find a unique way to handle the pvp balancing, but as I said I trust the testers.
