yes and now ppl who just got 80 or are close can't get the diamond. Gonna have to live with a much harder time than the older players had if the threads on the new weapons/armor are accurate. The new armor/weapons at lvl 80 are inferior and the adamant ones probably too high a lvl requirement.

This is just to help new players, the purpose is to stop quests that ask lower level players to kill bosses 30 levels higher than them which they have no chance of killing, and just causes them frustration and spoils the fun.
Now you get the quest at a similar level to the boss you are being asked to kill, which is much more fair to the new players.

Sure it could be different but now that im not gonna get meteoric any time soon, and diamond is going away, then us nubs are quite likely boned. Given that they are raising the level for the quest it follows that the new items will be a much higher level for the same 'power'. Some crappy energy and health is nowhere near +200 weapon or nature magic or fire/ice.
