Re: Forced to buy plat to play

I have spent $250 on celtic heroes with no loyal CH return. I was dissappointed with this greatly. Ya'll wanna know why lvl cap is now 200? So people spend money on lixes. Dont say u can buy them from players cuz they buy from Ch first. U guys just keep hoarding our money. Update sucks. Ty

I think plat is very necessary to get good at this game.

I spent about $20 on Black Friday to get my heroic ammy and then I spent $50 on elixirs about two months ago.

Without plat I would still be lvl 100 right now with one or two Quigley lux items. The stuff in Quigley's shop is already overpriced but now in the update, there are items that cost many times more than Quigley's items!

I think most people will not succeed in this game unless they buy a pretty large package of plat at some point.

You say a few bad changes, but I can't believe you think things like sigils were an oversight, they obviously changed them in the hope no one knew and didn't realise why they were running out of energy.
They just over nerfed them and people caught them out. No accident.
I have sigils, yes I run out of energy, yes we had it one way and now it is different. My question to you and everyone complaining about sigils... why do you think energy sigils should work when a druid is healing? Isn't battle considered battle no matter if your doing damage or supporting? Health sigils don't work in battle, neither should energy sigils in my opinion. Just because your support and not doing damage doesn't remove you from the fact that you are " in a battle "
I will make the comparison to fuel in the UK,

When diesel was introduced, the government it cheap so everyone would buy diesel cars, now it is taxed the same as petol
When gas was introduced, it started cheap, now that there are a lot of gas cars, they are increasing the tax to push prices up.

Sigils worked really well, everyone bought them, then OTM had a lack of sales, so they make them work badly so everyone has to buy more. Simple economics.

Personally I think they are just annoyed at being caught out or they would have fixed them already.

And no, if you are healing, you are not fighting or being fought. They new that!

Taunt and warcry do seem lacking, but having done a quest to get beastbone boots which add +600 taunt aggro, I'm thinking there may be some equipment needs to make things work the same as before.

That being said. If a warrior can't taunt without the boots, then the skill is useless.

Also, why is it that it seems like every warrior skill has to be 35/35 to be used? I can bash a level 170 without a lot of shield bash, etc etc..

Okay let's give you a new name. How about Miss Negativity? I hope that's not insulting, just fits you do well. I was gonna go with devils advocate or troll but that would be rude.

Elvra, we paid for sigils. The sigils that allowed us to regen in when not in combat. When a Druid is healing they are not in combat logically. The Druid is not pulling out some brass knuckles of healing and beating up the tank to heal them. That could technically be considered combat. We are talking about a Druid 10 feet away healing a player. You make it sound like a crime to get what we paid for and your logic is not making sense.

Feel free to insult my intelligent and impose negativity onto this thread. You have the right to do so by forum rules.
I have over 500 sigils. My point is, yes you are in combat even when your healing. All REAL mmorpgs do not allow any sort of regen IN BATTLE... except for skill based regen and gear based regen. SKILLS and GEAR. Not plat purchased items. To further my correct logic on this issue... Mages will now play a more integral role of energy supporters. Also, the many flavors of energy regen lux now have more appeal. We will see a stronger lux economy because of this change.

And to finish, my opposition to people complaining about sigils is far from being negative or insulting. Your misinterpretation of me is amusing.

hi Donko. I understand your comparison, however it is not logical. The way sigils are currently will not be fixed by buying more. Having 10k sigils will act exactly the same as 500 sigils or zero sigils "while in combat". Economics has nothing to do with this situation. And yes, if you are in a group that is fighting.... and you use a skill... you should also be in combat mode. Medics on the battlefield that do not carry a weapon have similar chance of getting shot as the ones fighting. Battle is battle no matter your job.

See the fact you have 500 sigils confounds me because if I was in your position I would honestly be royally POed lol. The thing is that people (including you) spent money for sigils they way they worked before update 4. I agree mages are great to have as energy support but that doesn't relate to the issue of we want our sigils to work again. I would say my misinterpretation has evidence to support you don't play nice. But by all means be amused :)

I will put this in terms that can fit into your analogy. In Celtic heroes you have a battlefield, there's a squad consisting of a couple medics (healers) a flame thrower dude (Mage), some machine gunners (dps) and a guy with body armor, a target on his back, a hat on his head that says general, and on top of that he is yelling yo mama jokes at the enemy (tank). Who's the enemy gonna shoot? Well let's assume the enemy loves his momma, he's goin for that body armored general. You can say they throw a grenade (aoe) the gunners (dps) might die but the armor protects the 'general' (tank) and the MEDICS are out of the blast range so they safe. Okay? Okay :)

in real life medics don't stand 20 feet back to "heal" the wounded

I don't see why everyone puts OTM for wanting money. THIS IS THEIR JOB. If you type OTM into the App Store, you'll see this is there only game, so this is where they get their cash from. It would be like getting annoyed at a shop for only wanting money...duhhh that's what it's for. So lay off them a bit, this is their work.

Second point, you don't need to buy plat to get plat...this isnt against the rules (I hope).
I have a friend, who i know real life, who is a plat buyer, when he is buying plat for gold, he runs it by me. What we do is: he buys an iTunes apple, but gives it to me, I cash it in and buy the plat, then give him the equivilant gold (plus a little more) back to him. That way, he has the gold he wanted, I have the plat i wanted, and I didn't waste all my money
Fionn dies..so you don't have to.

Yeah and soldiers don't have 7000 health. This isn't real life. I was just disagreeing with you without being rude about it.
